I also stuck my Newport back in the bag. Speed is fine with this putter and I’m still puzzled as to why it wasn’t with the Phantom 5.5. I really wanted to like that putter.

The TC/MB irons. I did a split set with Modus 120x, matched the 4-6 iron TC lots to the MB 4-6 iron specs and then went 7-PW in MB. It’s the first split set I’ve played since the Nike VR Pro Combo irons. They were 3,4 pocket cavity, 5-7 split, 8-pw blade. Loved the set. Hoping for the same with these Miura irons which I’m sure I’m going to love. I’m really digging the wedges I got.

The bag is complete. I waited 46 days for the TC/MB set to get here and they did not disappoint! I took them out to the range at my local course and the range balls felt premium 😂

My first impressions are that the MB-101s aren’t all that difficult to hit and I expected them to be more punishing on poor strikes. I didn’t really notice any more loss of distance on strikes that weren’t in the middle of the club face compare to the T100. IMHO, the T100 feels less harsh but punishes you equally. To me, a poor strike is a poor strike. I was making some B- swings and the irons felt more than fine. I feel like with my less than normal strike, these will be just fine. I’m not saying I’m the greatest ball striker to ever live but I think people are easily put off by these. Granted, I do have these from 7-PW only so there’s that.

The TC-201 irons got the ball up quite easy and I would put the ball flight level with the T100 (‘21) that I have now as a backup set along with my SM8 52/58 wedges. I’d say that the TC-201 are just as soft and solid feeling as the MB-101s are. You can definitely tell these help the ball get up easily but you can also work the ball under the wind if you have to. I was hitting all sorts of shots with these and when I was on, they did exactly what I expected.

I’ll definitely get some more photos comparing the soles, faces, and top lines.

Here’s the updated bag! My TBC navy Open 3 wood cover should come in soon to round it all out. Ryder Cup USA red, white, and blue driver cover, Open navy 3 wood cover, and 007 Slow Play putter cover. Jones Trouper R in charcoal. I’m going to order a T200 3-iron Utility with an AD DI 85x in the coming weeks.

I did! I ordered these straight from Miura and they made the adjustments to the TC-201 to match the lofts of the MB-101. So I’m playing lofts of 24,27,30,34,38,42,47 all throughout the set. I called them after I placed the order and they updated the notes to specify to the builder.

You won’t be disappointed. The TC-201 feel very nice and I am really liking the sole grind on them. I almost went full set of them but couldn’t resist a blended set. Glad I did the TC/MB set. Best of both worlds for me personally.

I’m not too sure if I’m going to keep it in the bag but it’s tough to hit. I’m not sure if it’s that the shaft is a little lighter than I expected or what but I wasn’t swinging it well on the range today.

TriHot is good but I’ve got the Newport 2 back in the bag currently and I’m in good form with it. Trouper R has been great. I love everything about it! Storage space is incredible. You can put so much crap in there but I try not to since it just adds to the trek.

I ordered a Camino Golf Sunday bag in green and tan and I’m looking forward to walking with an even lighter setup soon.

I’m on the fence about the trouper R. Does the material stain at all or is it easy to clean? Thinking of getting the light gray

I haven’t found that it picks up dirt but then again I’ve got the charcoal color. They just dropped a new color of light grey that I love. It looks way better than any bag I’ve ever had.

My Camino Sunday Carry Bag came in yesterday and I decided to keep it. I was going to get a Jones Player Series but I’m really digging the way this bag looks.

I took it out for a round today - carried all my clubs (12), alignment sticks, towel, rangefinder, 8 balls, tees, valuables pouch, GoPro, and sunscreen. It all fit in the main pocket along what would be the spine of the bag. I didn’t have anything in the front pocket because it started to sag and create more stress. I originally had my Yeti 26oz bottle in there but just carried it by the handle and it was fine. It’s so easy to just stand the bag, hit yardages with my rangefinder, pull the club, then set the bag down. I really enjoyed the walk today and was able to finish in 3 hours with a (+6) 76. I always forget the course I played today is a par 70.

Love it man----- Right now I am using an older original Jones Classic non stand--- Now I am not physically able to walk anymore but like the size and convience of the Jones bag--- In your opinion how would that bag do on a riding cart? Does that bag have structure? I was thinking on pulling the trigger on a Jones Original but it does not have a structure and I wonder how it would do on a riding cart?

This bag does have the spine in it so it’s doesn’t collapse and works do just fine on a cart I’d imagine. I’m loving it.

I’m currently doing a head to head with the 9.5 ad Newport 2. So far, I liking the 9.5. I tried a 5.5 but the weight was off and so I got rid of it. The shape was good but I actually like the 9.5 over the 5.5. I had a fitting and it was showing better numbers as well. I’m excited to see what it might do for me on the greens.

On another note, the Miuras are on their way out. I’ve been going through a swing change and I haven’t been as consistent with the sole grind on these. I may go back to the 620 CB or T100. Up for sale in the classifieds. I also had the club fly out of my hands and get a nice chip in the 7 iron 😔.

I did.

Honestly should have waited until after doing some swing overhaul but it is what it is. I would have never known had I not done it. I did enjoy them but at the same time, the feel of irons I’ve played in the past are just as good - mainly Mizuno. I might go the route of Mizuno or just go back to the Titleist 620 CB, which were softer than the T100 irons I gamed for two seasons. I should say 1st generation for one season and second generation for one season.

I can say that looking back, the CB suited me best and although I’m going to test a few irons out on course, I just have a feeling that nothing current will beat them. I only went to the T100 from those irons because they had a slightly different profile and still offered some help in the long irons. Again, trial and error. We shall see!

This week will be exciting.

New gear has landed in the bag.
Crazy.

I know.

I’ll be completely transparent with you guys here. Ordered the Miura irons and wedges, thought they'd work out and they didn’t. I knew that there could be a possibility that they just wouldn’t gel with me over time. The initial thoughts were of course great. The feel was good but to be completely honest, they aren’t the best feeling clubs in the world. I know I’ll catch eyes with that statement but come on, it’s not like I’m leaving for some other tour.

Mizuno has always had a spot in my bag over the course of 11-12 years. I’ve gamed the 58, 59, 64, and 15s. I also had some T Series wedges and they felt great but they have come a long way with grinds.

Woods haven’t changed but I do have a Ventus Blue TR 6x on its way! I’ve had the AD DI in the bag for about 10 years. I’m starting to venture out and see if something new can give me something extra.

I can’t wait to get out in the course. I hit a few into my net tonight and the feel is there and they glide through the turf and mat easier than the TC/MB set I had.
