Dispersion is on the player, not the club other than distance. And regarding feel, one of the knocks against GI clubs is that they feel numb; some people claim they can't tell where on the face they struck the ball. Apparently the 0211 is the all time numb king if hitting the ball off center feels same as a center strike.

I had the total opposite experience. I could feel where the stroke was better than my forged Miuras. It was actually scary precise at knowing exactly where it hit the face.

I agree that dispersion is on the player but most of us aren't striking the sweet spot every time. What's important is how the head handles the mishits. The 0211 handled them so much better than G410s, for me, and a crazy amount better than my Miuras. At the end of my fit, I hit 20 balls with the setup I was fit to,, just to confirm. I hit 7 iron. The longest was 169 carry, the shortest 166 carry, the furthest right was on the center line and the furthest left was 3 yards left of center. That was after hitting 117 balls during the fit. Dispersion was absolutely insane! I hit 20 balls in a row inside a 3y x 3y box. Just for reference I'm 9 handicap.

Don't you think you're getting a little carried away comparing the feel of the 0211's to Miura's? If not, I'd like some of what you're smokin'.

I'd vote for the Srixon 5 series.

I previously played the G25 irons for years. I agree with what someone said earlier in the thread that I actually like the feel better than the 400/410. I got the 565's last year and never looked back. I hit them just as well as the PING and they feel great. Yeah, people will pick nicks and say it's not a true one piece forged club, but the feel much better than the G25s. Got my handicap down the lowest point last season and shot my personal best round.

There were a lot of comments about Wishon. Years ago I owned the 560MC's predecessors to the current model. They had low offset and seemed midsize, but were amazingly forgiving and felt great. Wishon makes some fantastic equipment. The downside is their residual value is nil. So make sure you'rep properly fitted as you go down that route, as you won't be able to flip them for anything.

I actually currently own a set of Miuras and PXGs. The Miuras are great irons but the PXGs feel way better on mishits and outperform them in distance and dispersion. I'm not sure what's blinding about that. I find that all the PXG haters are just people that can't afford them. Instead of complaining about the price, use your brain and increase your earning power!

I could buy PXG's through the Hero's program at a good price. And I know they are a good product. Your last 2 sentences is EXACTLY why I'll never buy a PXG product. Too many guys that think just like you. You probably stand in the parking lot at the course and tell everybody, Hey!! Come look at my PXG irons! Bet you wish you could afford to play some of these!

Not sure I’d be clowning user names...

And you won’t buy a product because of the way someone else’s thinks...? What if you found someone who plays the same clubs as you, but turned out to be a real piece of work... would you sell your clubs and never buy that brand again?

doesn't make sense to me, but hey, we’re all different.

And it blows me away when someone comes on here and try's to tell everybody that the brand they're playing is FAR superior to any other iron on the market when everyone knows it's all marketing. Just keep on drinkin' your PXG Kool-Aid. And don't forget to tip your valet.

Just a question. Do you want forged simply for the soft feel?

Does this mean you will not buy blades or "players irons" too? Because there is just as much fanaticism with some of their clientele. Or does that mean you will not buy Titleist because the traditionalists are fanatics about that brand as well? Seems pretty selective to target PXG clientele for this type of thing.

I could care less what someone else plays. I have an almost hatred for Taylormade after my experiences with them when I bought a $950 fitted driver with an upgraded shaft. But if people ask about them, I don't bash them or their performance. If they ask about customer service and QC then I will tell them my story.

Not once did I bash PXG. I was giving shallow a hard time because he was acting like a 3 year old in a candy shop about his irons. It started with his bs about not being able to bend Ping irons in the other thread. PXG is a fine product but I thought his over exuberance was over the top. And I'm not the only one. I'm doing this thread a disservice so I'm done with it. I apologize to the OP.

I agree, his last few posts do seem a bit over the top and proud of it. Maybe he is the guy that voices the commercials !

As for the OP's question. Have you tried a different grip? Sometimes a soft grip can "soften" the feel in the hands at impact. The results may depend on how your perceive feel though, because a lot of people really don't "feel" as much of a difference as they hear. But that sound tricks your hands into thinking that the club or ball is "firmer".
