SuperStroke WristLock???

I just received mine from @osubuckeyes691 and installed it like a normal one. I tried it the way it was suppose to be installed before actually installing it and didn't feel right. I tried pistol down like a normal grip and it felt better. Once I installed it, it felt amazing. The bigger pistol in the back compared to a normal one helps and feels perfect in my hands now.
I installed it on my UST Frequency Filtered shaft for my flow neck X5 and it is the perfect length. Goes right to the metal and really balances out the shaft well. Couldn't be happier and I'm hoping to get my hands on a few more for backups!

I am going to add loft to my spider. When I forward press to get the bulge locked onto my wrist, this grip appears to have something special about it. But I'm probably in negative loft territory. Gonna loft up and see. When I get the bulge locked on then strike consistency appears to be really good with little face rotation.

If anyone doesn't like theirs and wants to get rid of it send me a PM!

There’s nothing illegal about adding tape to the bulge to make it a little bigger? I have a counter balanced putter but i ordered an inch extended because I liked it sitting up a little higher on my wrist/arm.

Messed around with it a bit last night. I put it on a Odyssey Tank Cruiser #7 that is 35" but i choke down on it an inch or 2 anyways. Initial impressions are similar to what others have said -- the bulge could certainly stand to be a bit more pronounced. I did start to have a bit of success and found it more comfortable by raising my hands and addressing it a little more upright. Will mess around with it some more tonight and am playing tomorrow so we will see how it goes. I tried arm locking a couple of years ago and could not get comfortable with it especially on lag putts. This does appeal to me as it is a mini version of arm locking but I could address it normally without it locked in my wrist on longer putts - something i couldnt do with a 40 inch or so arm lock putter with additional loft. After one night of putting I will give it a 50% chance of surviving. Not an immediate "No" but nothing that blew me away either.

Have one in the mail coming Tuesday. I had a putting lesson about a year ago and he had me forward pressing quite aggressively almost to the point my regular grip was in line with my wtist. I liked the feel but it delofted my putter so much I backed off the press a little. Hoping this can recreate that feeling without delofting my putter.

I've decided to play the wristlock all season to see how it fares. As I've noted in other posts, I have 2 spider tours. One has the wristlock and no sight line, the other has a ss pistol gt 1.0 and has a sightline. I was able to putt 10 footers a bunch on Saturday. I putted straight putts and putts that broke both ways.

It seems I line up left breaking outs better with the no sightline spider. It seems line up all other putts about the same.

Where there seems to be a difference is on path and face. I seem to be more consistent with face rotation with the wristlock. My stroke also seems to be more consistent with wristlock. I made more putts with wristlock on straight putts and left breakers. Interestingly, I made more right breakers with the regular ss grip.

On straight putts and left breakers I tend to pull more putts with the regular ss grip. My path appears to be more down the line with wristlock. This pull tendency suggests why right breakers are made more with the regular ss grip putter. My stroke has always been left into and through impact and I've always putted right breakers better than left breakers. Need some adjustment on right breakers with wristlock. But I like the path better with wristlock.

I still don't think the bulge does anything at all. I don't even get it to touch my wrist when I putt with it, and I forward press. What seems to be a difference maker in the grip is the size and shape. It has a flatcat like shape to it but it's sized differently...it's like a fat flatcat. Reading up on flatcat, I sense ththe same benefits are being seen...square grip = square hands = square face.

I may put a flatcat on my sightlined spider to see what happens. But for now, the wristlock will stay in play.

I've had mine for a couple rounds now. I cut down one of my armlock putters, (maybe 7 degrees of loft), and am using it as the intended wristlock style of putting.

This is a great alternative to the armlock style, as it brings back a more normal feel for lag putting, (at least for me). My putter head is around 400 grams and that may need to be reduced, but I'm going to give it time.

Well, I know said I was going to stick with the grip through the season, but....

Just couldn't find consistency from day to day. I did really like the shape of the grip. I just didn't like having so much grip above my hands.

So, I put a flatcat on...and I really like it. Same square shape but traditional grip length.

Still loving this grip but I do have one complainant. I just bought a new one to put on another putter. I took it out to the course today and already after 1 round the textured portion is pulling off underneath the cap.

Received the grip and I believe for most golfers a longer shaft will need to be installed in order to maintain the same distance from your hands to the ground and have the putter grip work as designed. I ordered a longer shaft and installed it on my putter with the WristLock grip. In order to set the "wristlock" feature as advertised, I have to assume a very forward pressing and unnatural stance causing tension in the grip while putting. I think this is the opposite of what most golfers are looking to achieve. I have nothing against SuperStroke and use their grips on a couple of other putters I have. However this product doesn't seem to meet the intentions of what it's designed to do from my perspective, which is unfortunate because I was really hoping it would work.

Mine is in the bag for the long haul. The 3 rounds before wrist lock I averaged 34 putts per round. That is about what I have averaged over the last year. First 3 with wrist lock I have averaged 30.5. Feeling a lot better over short putts and my speed control has been much improved on long putts. I have two 3 putts in 54 holes with it. Typical rounds were 2-3 before. Love it.

Mine was shipped days ago but the tracking hasnt updated, USPS is a clownshow right now.

I grip naturally pretty far down on my current putter grip so this wristlock shouldnt be a problem for me to index it properly on my wrist. My wrist pretty much naturally lines up with the butt cap of putter grips so thats kinda why I was so intrigued.

e8204a3e-4997-4989-88a9-29d0e69d0060.jpegWas going to put it on a 36” Odyssey Tank 7V, but didn’t love the feel of the wrist lock as much as I had hoped. Installed it flipped 180* on a Scotty at 34” and have been LOVING it. I’ve installed other superstroke grips with the flat side toward target, so this is comfortable territory. Works great when I flip to crosshand inside 10 feet too.
