Tour Issued Putters

Stamp tour on it and charge 10x more. Come up w/ terms like GSS and DASS and charge more for the same grades of steel as others. These guys aren't in business because they're idiots...well most of them aren't. It's all a marketing gimmick. A 70* lie, 3.5* loft putter w/ a 34.25" shaft is going to putt like a 70* lie, 3.5* loft, 34.25" putter.

If one of Scotty's Rat putters mistakenly had "SEWER RAT" stamped on it you might get $20K on the international market.

Understandable take, and honestly prior to messing with Circle T’s I would have agreed. After having owned 4 now (at one time or other), the one I am currently gaming is my favorite and the one I was ultimately after. I am not exaggerating when I say it’s the best feeling putter I have ever rolled, nothing offered at retail comes close.

I am not trying to be snide when I say this, but roll one that fits you and you will immediately notice a difference. Trouble is since us mortals are not getting fit by Scotty for our Circle T’s, they rarely are actually close to a good fit. I know the standard 34” 350g gallery putter will be too heavy for me when I lengthen it to 35” (unless it has weights). I putt terrible when something is that over weight for my stroke.

I currently game a T5W weld neck, and absolutely love the look, feel, and weight. Couldn’t be happier with it and it fits my stroke.

I was glad for the Anser F fished out a lake (story posted in putter mods) a couple of weeks ago. I was planning on bringing a beloved Wilson 8813 to Sedona AZ for the weekend. We were rained out on the front nine Friday and hailed out the back nine. A satin oil can finish would not have survived.

Just remeber the most memorable masters was not won with a Tour issued putter. It was won with this POS and I guess you could call it tour issued after that. I wonder what they sold them for after.

The GSS 009 I have is the best putter I have ever gamed. GSS feels much different. Trust me.

Cheapskates want nice stuff for cheap. That is unrealistic like socialism.

I grew up playing zebra, Scotty tei3, pro platinum. Once you game a GSS all those stock, general release putters sound and play like garbage.

Maybe it’s the added incentive that your gaming something custom made. Or maybe it’s the fact it’s not made in a factory in China.

Just like the PXG badgers, there are many tour Scotty/gss bashers.

Where are the taylormade spider bashers. I have never seen a putter be so widely adopted and dropped so fast. RIP Spider.

Even if you drop $8000 on a putter And u hate it, You still have the ability to dump it on eBay and a Japanese or asian kid will buy it before the week is up. It’s a no lose situation.

It is funny to read about playing partners making comments. “He only made that putt because his putter costs so much”.
