I'll chime in.  I have the TB in driver and GT in 3 metal.  GT is more stable/anti-left than the TB.  It's also slightly lower launch and spin.  Flattens out at the apex whereas the TB can get a bit floaty and spinny.  TB has more kick to it and my ball speed jumped up 1-2 mph compared to the GT when I tested it.

So you are preferring the lower launching shaft in your fairway. I tend to like that too, get a little more distance, as they have enough loft anyway. I can see the GT being a strong 7 wood shaft.

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond 10.5 w/Diamana TB 60S

PXG GEN6 5 wood w/Diamana S-plus 70 stiff

Yamaha RMX VD 7 wood w/Diamana S-plus 70 stiff

Callaway Mavrik Pro hybrid (22) w/Aldila Tour Blue 85 stiff hybrid

Wilson Staff Model CB 5-G w/DG s300 shafts

Edel T grind 54 w/Nippon 125 wedge shaft

Fourteen RM-12 58 w/Dynamic Golds400

Axis1 Rose putter, 34 inches

Yes.  That and the stability as well since it's easier to hook/turn over a fairway metal.

@MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL I have had a lot of success with blue boards. I can shape it both ways, avg 10 fairways, driver is a strength. Currently game the stock sim shaft, Diamana S+plus Limited 2nd gen, 65x tipped 1". Swing speed 107 with it, also have an aggressive transition. When I've tested other 55-60g shafts (ex. Aldila rogue elite blue 55x tipped 1") I get up to 110 and gain distance. But the shafts start to feel whippy and dispersion suffers, losing it more left.

The TB 50tx on paper seems like a decent option. Is that what you'd suggest or the GT? In San Diego and will try to find a fitter with the TX to test.

Hey there -- if it helps your search, here's how we would categorize the areas of the shaft in terms of bend profile...

Diamana TB

Tip: Medium

Mid: Firm

Butt: Medium+

Diamana GT

Tip: Medium+

Mid: Medium+

Butt: Firm+

I have a really unimportant, silly thing to say that has nothing to do with the performance of the TB, but I'm gonna drop it here just in case @MITSUBISHI CHEMICAL ever analyzes social/online feedback on this sort of thing:

In future models, I'd really love to see them move the flowerband lower. The Diamana TB is a nearly perfect-looking shaft in my opinion (and I'll be back in it once I figure out how to stop hitting moon-balls with my driver; it seems to sync perfectly with my swing, just goes too high).  The flowerband is such a cool part of the Diamana line's legacy, and also just a neat little flair from the designers. But with any tipping at all in a 3 wood, it disappears under the grip. And it's definitely hidden under the grip in a higher-lofted wood.

I have a Diamana BF 80X in a TS2 5 wood that I'm looking at right now, and the flowerband is visible -- something that really doesn't matter, but I noticed it and I like it.

The hidden flowerband is the only negative thing I have to say about the TB (and is admittedly such a small, unimportant little quibble). It's such a great shaft.

Apologies for reviving an old thread.

I was wondering if anyone has used a TB or a PD in a 7 wood, and if so what are your thoughts on it?

I've had both for driver, and tested them for 3 metal but not 7.  I think PD would better a fit for a 7 metal because it's gonna launch really high to begin with and spin quite a bit.  PD is very linear and a true low/low shaft which should compliment a 7 metal.  TB is more suited for 3 metal because of the lower loft IMO.

Appreciate the response. Was leaning towards the PD for that reason. Thanks for the info. Anything I should expect from the shaft? Never had a diamana to this point. Just some Tensei orange and a ventus blue.

It's very linear and has no kick.  Still has some feel in though.  I'd say it's closer in feel and launch/spin to the CK Pro Orange.  Also very anti-left.

Once there's still feel in it I'm happy enough. The anti left is good as that's the issue I have now as the stock shaft is just too whippy when I use my regular swing on it. Thanks for the reply. Would you recommend tipping it for the 7?

I had the PD 70TX for driver and didn't tip it.  My ss is 118.  It was 285 CPM so it was plenty stiff.  I tested the 80TX for 3 metal and the shaft was tipped half inch.  Since it's for 7 metal, you may want to tip it half to full inch but no more.  It's extremely stout feeling so you may not wanna tip it too much.

Hi guys,

Hoping to get some clarity on the TB in a FW3. Sadly I canno´t demo the shaft in a FW3, but I´ve tried it in the driver, and I fell in love with the feeling. Currently gaming TR Blue in both driver and FW3, but I want to gain some height in the FW3 if possible.

SS around 116 for reference. TM Stealth 2+ in the FW3 with a TR Blue 7X.

Never thought there would be a day when my Ventus shafts would feel the risk of being replaced...

I found the TB to launch higher and spin more than the TR Blue.  It also had more kick as well.  TB feels really smooth as well.  TB was easier to turnover which led to snap hooks at times especially when going after one.  I've had the TB in both driver and 3 metal and unfortunately, they just didn't work out.  Currently have the Diamana GT in 3 metal and TR Black in driver and they're not at risk of being replaced for the rest of the year, lol.
