Well, I made it to the fantasy playoffs thanks to the Titans of Tennessee. Derrick Henry for the most part has been my bellwether solid RB1 leading the way. AJ Brown and Davante Adams have been awesome. AJ Brown would have been even better save a few injuries this year.  

A lot of people picking Tennessee today, "Mr. Sizzling Hot Commish" and that was my first thought going into today. But I don't like that line. The Jags suck bu they play hard and Glennon is not going to dink and dunk with that Titans porous defense.  That said I think Tennessee wins a shoot out type of game with leads of 7-14 but the Jags might get that back door cover late in the 4th quarter.  SO I guess I am taking that one out of play because I am not taking the points either...Tenn -7.5 I will Pass

I will actually be rooting for the Titans to let Henry eat. But I am going out on a limb and bet the  Jags will say "enough"! and Henry will have a stacked box. 

 

I will actually go out on a limb and say some Dogs will eat today, I pray that my WFT is one of them. But I do not think this will shake out that way. I see the NIners controlling the tempo with a better running game and some timely well orchestrated passes mitigating the WFT's pass rush..Please say it isn't so.  But the NIners have a bevy of running backs and a myriad of "Shenanigans" and we will play a close game but I am not sure if 4.5 is enough in the end.  Passing on WFT and the points. But still enthusiastically hoping I am dead wrong!  GO TEAM!

 

This leaves me with some interesting selections.  I kinda think the Lions playing a divisional game might cover at Green Bay. I also like the Vikings to cover against the not so awesome play of Tom Brady and the Buccaneers but they are coming off a bye and maybe worked out some of the kinks.

This is my number 3 play of the week but since I only need to make 1 pick it's off to another dog that might do some barking this week, no I am not including the Bills seeing as they are now 2.5 point favorites.

 

Those lightening Bolts have some talent on that team. Starting with their QB who had a rough go of it last week. In betting that's called a recency bias. Atlanta has one of the worst defenses in the league so I would be very tempted here to take the 2.5 points but I like another dog just a bit more as I am not sure what the mood will be like knowing Anthony Lynn is a dead man walking, but I do like the Bolts to cover just going to pass.

 

My first Dog is a hunch more than anything else. Give me the Trubisky Train and all aboard the the Bears locomotive Express. Bears +2 Allen Robinson and Montgomery eat some home cooking.  Watson will not be enough to stop a focused Bears defense at home.

Well, unlike other intelligent pickers, I cannot pick against my team and I just had the feeling it wasn't going to end to my favor.  I couldn't even rationalize it with the "They'll still win" when the spread was 1.5 points.  If I lose this event by a game, I can look back to Orchard Park, remember the Buffalo Hot Wings of my youth delivered to my dorm long before they were a national sensation, and curse that Teriayaki wing muncher from Wyoming.
