Winter golf warrior checking in. I've got something special for you from today. I scared up two other golf warriors to join me at 2pm.  We had the course to ourselves. Beautiful, brisk, and oh that sunshine.

On the 1st tee we had Mostly sunny with a 7mph wind and 39 degrees. 3 light wool layers over a turtleneck and a wind shirt on top. Black cord pants. Mittens with handwarmer packets cooking in them, got it handled

It's been a extremely enjoyable golf week for me.

 

 

We still have a little snow on the ground in shaded spots from Thursday's morning "storm" and we didn't seem to get much over 35 yesterday.  

It's great you are still playing so regularly in January as I've only gotten out once.  Winter golf warrior indeed!

Thanks NCL. We are getting snow tonight and it will remain cold through Monday and Tuesday , my days off unfortunately. That is why I felt so jazzed to get in three rounds this week, I knew what the weekend's weather would blanket the courses. 

I will golf in medium level cold temps and and always have. I do despise golfing in rain. I just can't get in the proper mind set to hit a decent shot playing wet golf. If a shower moves in and out during a round that doesn't bother me so much. If it's a light rain from the 1st tee for the entire round, I'm not in the foursome. Here's hoping this week you get the better N. Carolina golf weather sir.

No I don't do alcohol while playing and haven't for over 20 years. Just one cocktail and my swing is gone. I snatch the club up rather than turning smoothly back. I then follow that with hitting the ball rather than putting a proper released swing down and the ball gets in the way and proceeds to its' intended target. After golf it's beer or Tito's tonic time. Now there is a Bob Marley or 2 always ready for each round.

L.A. gave up a lot. A third this year and firsts in 22&23. Hey L.A. how's it feel to not have a first until 2024?  Stafford has potential to be a huge upgrade in moi's opinion. Still two firsts, third and Goff. Will be very interesting to see how that all plays out. Especially since Goff is paid next two seasons, and no guaranteed money last two. Will Detroit City keep him. Can Stafford rein in his go for it since I'm on a bad team INT's/mistakes.
