I don’t get all these grown a** man-babies complaining in this thread. Sure, things can take time, but to me it seems he’s busy. Imagine being called a robber and criminal because an order takes longer time than estimated. Good riddance to those people, I’m sure they must have been difficult to deal with too.

 

I don't think that's accurate, at least for me.   It took me posting here to get a response, and I don't appreciate being called names.   I've seen posts on Instagram and apparently here of people getting their putters.   I am fully aware that it could take longer than the quoted time and yes, there is a pandemic happening and supply chain issues.   However, there were too many twists and turns in this to ignore.

 

Sept 2020 - contacted him with initial ask

Oct 2020 - had to nudge him about how to send the deposit

Feb 2021 - he reached out and said that the putter would ship the end of May

June 30, 2021 - check in since it's 1 month past original delivery date (no response)

Aug 2, 2021 - check in again (no response)

Sept 10, 2021 - check in again.  I stated I am not worried about the delivery date but just want to know it will be finished.   Next day the response was that he was going to send an extra putter because of the delay but that it will be later in the autumn

Dec 9, 2021 - check in again as it is late autumn.   I was told it would be shipping within 2 weeks

Jan 2, 2022 - ask again and am told that the putter(s) are not started and that he will begin that week

Jan 26 and Feb 1 - ask how it is going, after second message I ask if it hasn't been started then please issue a refund,   I am told it has been started but I can cancel.  I ask when it will be done and am told within 2 weeks.   I say to proceed

Feb 21, 2022 - I ask if its ready and am told it just needs finishing.  I confirm the finish I want and get a response back confirming.

March 14, 2022 - I ask how it is going.  (No response)

July 10, 2022 - I ask for my money back and get no response

July 14, 2022 - I post here.

 

I read that timeline as being told multiple times that it was coming soon and it never did.   if there were supply chain or personal issues then just let me know.  I don't think that makes me a "grown a** man baby".   @Humble - does that change your opinion about my experience or me, or do you think still that's slander?

 

I'm glad most people got their putters and had a good experience.  From the reviews these sound like great putters.   My experience was bad.   I didn't name call him or slander him.   I think the above timeline, taken directly from my Instagram thread with him, backs up what I wrote and speaks for itself.

Not sure why anyone would give these behaviours a pass. imsys0042, you are not the problem. If anything you were more than patient. 

Happy to read that you have finally received a refund and can move on from what has obviously been a frustrating experience.

 

Is there any plan to purchase a putter from another maker?

Not giving this a pass, it doesn’t look good with the delays. A clear sign of being overworked. Where in this timeline is he withholding the customer deposit citing your “finally”. He was given a choice previously on Feb 1st, didn’t take the offer, but asks for a refund on July 10th and gets it within 4 days where there is a weekend in-between. Imsys0042 has been patient, he got an apology and the deposit refund when asking. Case closed.

When I didn't think it was going to happen I purchased a Scotty Cameron.   I looked around at some other boutique putter makers but didn't see anything that was a clear winner.

Yeah I don't want to drag this out and turn it into more than it needs to be.   I posted here, like on my home golf forum, about the situation.   No one over there that responded had heard of Nordburg putters, so there was no info there.   When I posted here it asked me to create an account so when I came back here today to post I got a refund and saw a couple of the responses, I posted the timeline.   My feeling was that after not hearing anything from mid-March to mid-July that I was going to be out the money with no putter.  I had given the deposit in October of 2020.  Whether communications weren't seen or other stuff is going on, I don't know and I don't want to speculate.

 

Most people seem to have a positive experience so I'll just leave it as I either fell thru the cracks or it just didn't work out for me.   I did receive a refund and Christian did not give me any trouble about it, so that's that good and I hope it doesn't impact his business going forward.

 

Having created an account and now potentially posting here as well, I did feel like I needed to back up what I wrote however due to some of the comments posted since July 15th.   I am not a grown a** man baby, nor did I do a hit and run to mindlessly or maliciously complain or slander anyone and then ghost myself.  WRT not answering questions, they've been answered and I hope that this is the end to it.  There was a definite issue earlier in the thread and I added onto that based on my experience at the time.

It sounds like it is resolved and done. That said, I. Surprised that some people are judging the op harshly.  I suspect that very few people would actually be ok with that timeline.  I know people are fans of his work, and I’m not going to judge him based on this one experience, but there is nothing acceptable about the timeline you posted…

Just got this last week from Christian- overall a very positive experience, there were a couple delays but I feel that’s just the way things are right now. At the end of the day Christian was very responsive and the putter was exactly what I wanted, love his battleworn gunmetal finish. Heres to 3 putting in style

Nice looking putters but the builder coming in here and saying that he'll pick and choose who he wants to work with and the whole red flags comment just doesn't sit well. Won't get my business that's for certain.

You should probably read the previous comments too for the context. Tl;Dr: he cancelled and refunded an order of a guy that was unpleasant to deal with.

There's many sides to every story for sure however in this instance, with ample OTHER options, I can vote with my wallet elsewhere

It already got unprofessional lol that was kinda my whole point. Either way I'll leave this thread for folks who enjoy the putters.
