Nordberg Putters

Hey guys if you haven’t checked out this new guy in the mix. @nordbergputters. He’s out of Norway and building some really good looking flatsticks, from traditional Anser and NP2 versions to milled copper insert mallets. I just purchased a longneck torched custom. Should have it in hand in 2 weeks. Pleasure to deal with and quite a craftsman. Be sure to check him out on IG.

I pre-ordered mine on June 3rd so it took a little longer. I also wanted it without any alignment lines so he added a naked version in the initial batch.

His stuff is nice, wish he had prices and options listed. The CU insert is getting lots of attention but I have one issue with it that would drive me crazy. Can you see it?

Ya I’ve never seen that view before. Insert looks onset? Compared to the face. That would draw my eye to it right away as well.

Yeah it could also be angle or just the insert sticks out. For me if I have a putter with an insert and see that usually it's a turn off, even if it doesn't affect or effect anything my eye will draw to that.

I've had two putters refurbished with excellent results, and I've bought a custom long neck Newport style putter from Nordberg which I later put at BGT Stability Tour shaft in. Excellent work! In the process of ordering another from him now, a Halvdan II with a copper insert. Can not praise his work enough.

Sounds like his restoration side is closed and probably just focusing on his custom putters now. 

 

Edit: he confirmed on his IG story that it's the restoration side of things. He's going to focus fully on his own custom putters.

How would an insert not be visible at address when the loft is greater than 0* though?

Sit it flush to the face and roll the bottom edge as that's the part you see.
