Poor Ebay packing and shipping lately

Seems like my last few Ebay purchases have had really crappy packaging by the sellers then the Delivery service does not help by manhandling them.

 

looks like people are being cheap on packing material , clubs just loose in boxes.

Could go the Amazon route and pack a lighter in a refrigerator box?

I buy from proclubs, and other ebay online shops and they are always packed well. Buying from random people is always a gamble unfortunately, and with the wave of new golfers probably just offloading stuff at a high rate I'm sure they could care less about decent packing/shipping.

You ever buy from an OEM? It's really no different with the exception that they put a plastic bag around it. Last 2 drivers from TM were rattling around when I opened the box.

I recently bought a Bettinardi putter headcover from a random guy (not a large operation, though he did have a bunch of headcovers for sale). Anyway, that thing was packaged nicer than anything I've ever bought. It was in a sturdy box that was well taped and the headcover was in a Ziploc bag and surrounded by tons of stuffing.

 

It's a small thing, but I was super impressed. I made sure to point it out in the feedback I left.

I had some irons shipped to me recently in a stand bag box .  Let’s just say it did not arrive in one piece .

Let's not even get into Callaway preowned

They have such great stuff that they don't take the time to pack well

Boggles my mind that they'll ship like new/outlet putters with the headcover just thrown in the box

I've received more than my share of stuff that I'm sure has been scuffed/dinged up just cause they didn't want to take five seconds to put the headcover on

I've talked to the CS guys about it, and they just say the volume is too great for them to have the time to do that.  I don't get it, but their return policy is awesome, so i guess it is what it is

Global golf does the same thing orderEd a driver and wedge and the driver was not protected other than the cheap sock they put in it and the wedge was loose banging around the driver head .

Yah, definitely true

I guess my point is Callaway ALWAYS includes a cover. They just never put it on

Global most times it doesn't come with a cover, but you're right they just put that little sockie thing on it.

It's always a crap shoot when buying clubs on the internet. Some care , some don't , they got your money and unfortunately to some, that's where the sale stops.

Dont be so sure of old proclubs. I purchased Black Boron Miura heads from him recently. Shipping all the way to Australia. You would think forged heads would be wrapped properly? Nope all heads placed in one loose bubble wrap bag then placed in a box with 1 piece of paper filler. When the box delivered i picked it up and could hear the lovely sound of metal banging around.

 

I get there tools not jewels but i paid good money to ding them up my self not let the postal carrier do it for me.

Bought a backup Hzrdus Hulk and it came in a box, not packaging, nothing. Just flopping around. Bought from a pretty big seller too.
