That's exactly what it represents.  Is there something wrong with that?  I think it's perfect for the club.  It is cattle country out there.

Cattle branding is pretty well known to be inhumane and unnecessary. Ear tags make way more sense and they are what is actually used now and it doesn't hurt the animal. (The logo doesn't bother me, but just pointing out what that argument is.)

Let's not criticize a humble golf club logo just because we think it might loosely represent something we personally don't like. That could take us down a very dark and lonely road.

He asked a question and I answered, while saying I had no problem with the logo. It seemed to be over at that... It doesn't "loosely represent" though, it IS a cattle brand - some people may not like that. I don't think anyone really said they had a problem with it on here though? The question was just asked and answered, kind of how adults have convos.

I was not having a crack at you or anyone but I just dont like it when a logo is criticized for some esoteric reason which is essentially political. Sombrero wearing mexicans, Indian Heads and Cattle Brands are now logos which are objected to. I like them all! Will someone soon object to the Sheep Ranch logo? I mean, really??

I'm not offended by any of those either. I like the Pasa logo and the sand hills logo. But it isn't really for me to decide if other people are I guess.

Agree with this 100%, and I am not a huge fan for the preserve logo either. The one I do like is the Old Mac ghost tree logo stuff they have.

It is. I typically don't use a yardage book, but when I saw this one I had to have it. I'll figure out when to use it later.

Aha.  I'm a city guy; thought never occurred to me that a cattle brand might be a bad thing.  I understand that now.  Thanks.
