It keeps people in the "contest" more and it reflects an ever-changing reality that the players you pick, play to their own whims and desires and one cannot possibly know that.  So, this is a way to just even it out a bit more.

How do you score the DOW Team play?  Half points?  BTW, How does the DOW team play work anyway?  What if no one wants to partner with you? 😂   (and do they average you out in terms of priority? eg say JYK wants to play with Bianca haha, wishful thinking)

Rolex didn't score 2019 DOW Team Play; so we won't score that week.

 

The higher ranked player picks the lower ranked player, not the other way around.   Do you think Patty Tavatanakit will pick Bianca, I'm sure they know each other well.

If they don't play, they don't get CME points and they can't improve their priority standing.

 

I'm sure Bianca will be picked because she's universally loved; Yealimi, on the other hand is viewed as a spoiled teenager!

You never know.  Perhaps one of her Korean sponsors will suggest that another one of the LPGA players partner up with her for the marketing opportunity.

No Rolex points in the past  but there's CME points this year? So they made it more "interesting" starting this year?

In 2019, the official money from DOW was counted towards priority status as well.

well, from their website it does state 400 CME points for the DOW (less than 500 for the regular event(s) and of course 625 for the majors)... I wonder if both each get 400 or like the PGA, they split... either way, better make the cut to get some points... first things first is to cozy up to higher priority list players to be their partner  LOL....

Golf is so unpredictable that only Danielle and Minjee out of our all star picks made it to the round of 16.  But, it's a good development for @Lobby, @agolf1 and @Stooch.

 

Four more matches, but Minjee can kiss her slump bye bye with a good showing!

Both Minjee and Danielle were stopped at Quarterfinals, they'll earn about 10.0 Rolex points each; other players will earn less than 4.5 points each.

 

@Lobby, @agolf1 and @Stoochprobably were hoping for something better, but they've a good week regardless.
