Suddenly there are six players at -12 or better, hope Su has an incredible stamina to sprint to the end on Sunday.

I watched Su Oh this morning and got some idea about her game.

 

It's no surprise that she, like the Rocket Hee Young Park, vacillates the leaderboard all the time; she seems to strike every ball with 110% of her ability.

well, she's young for one but as a melburnian (or victorian, for that matter), i don't think she'll sprint -- more like, ease into Sunday is more like her - like other melburnians ...

We've completed 14 tournaments this year, some observations:

1.    The difference between a good player (Jessica Korda) and a top player (Nelly Korda) is substantial.
2.    All current Top-10 players come from inside pre-season Rolex Top-29 players (Lydia Ko, #29); There maybe ups and downs throughout the season, but Rolex Ranking remains a consistent gauge.
3.    When players are out of form like Brittany Lang and Sung Hyun Park, it takes a long time to cure.  Some may never recover.
4.    There're exceptions like Patty Tavatanakit when lightning struck a bottle; but it's a steep curve to climb for newcomers.  Bianca Pagdanganan, Maria Fassi, Yealimi Non and A Lim Kim can attest.

Time is running out, we've already reached the midpoint of the season if Fall Asian Swing are cancelled.  It's sink or swim time for these players.

The one that stands out as being expected to deliver more is Minjee Lee.  As a pick from the top 10, she really hasn’t delivered yet.  And Yealimi Noh is so close to the bottom after 2 top 10s in both 2019 and 2020 (including 2 runner up finishes). 
 

I wouldn’t characterize Jennifer Kupchow as “expected to deliver more” as she is only about 5 points away from the top 10.

Yes, it's been her worst start of the season in her career; but she can still rescue it.

As you know, I follow Yealimi closely.  On paper, making eight out of ten cuts isn't bad, but it's worse than that.  

 

Her ball striking has always been problematic but her putting was good enough to earn her four Top-6 finishes in two years.  Unfortunately, that +9 at the final round of 2020 USWO killed her; and she hasn't recovered her confidence in putting since then.

 

I don't know whether a mental coach would help; but she may not be able to iron out the issues on her own.

It appears my long shot pick of Marina Alex is only good for 1st and maybe 2nd round.  She frequently shows up near top of the leaderboard early, but by the weekend begins sinking.  🙁
