Rose sailed through the stroke play at the Girls' Junior. Impressive -8 round the 2nd day. Of course match play is a different beast, but she's been in this position before.

I created a thread on this event...but the admin moved it to the Junior Golf folder.

I think you'll like my post #2.

Seems to be working for me. Only two matches still out on the course.

Just turned off my VPN...now I'm getting updates.

Glad to see I have a new countrywoman to cheer for now that the popular but phony Jenny Money (Shanshan) is near retirement....cause Muni and Crazy Lucy Li are POSERS...and Xiyu Lin and Yu Liu have yet to win...and Haotong Li is near DFL across the pond.

MATILDA🇫🇮 .......leader by 1 going into the final round of the LET event in Finland. Plenty of chasers within reach. If she pulls it out, is she finally eligible for the Euro Solheim Cup team??

I believe yes.

Ole Ole...beat the Yanks!....many of the Americans I don't like are no longer on the team.

If I was Pat Hurst....my 3 picks would be Angel Yin, GIMMEE and Ryann O'Toole.

A weak field...let's see if Attahaya can chase her down tomorrow after a lousy rd 2.

Angel might not be terribly consistent, but she is great for an event like this. I would choose her over a washed up veteran anyday.

That's why I'd pick Angel....she has a MOUTH and is so FUNNY.....she and Megan would make a great team.

Ya gotta have Alison on the team too....she's a DRAMA QUEEN....but in a great way.

Ryann is good too...she's a GREAT TRASH talker and has a JOCK mentality....I LUV'd her on Big Break.

While waiting on a tee block in 2011 in Squamish, BC (Cdn Women's tour event).....Ryann was chirping with her playing partners and pointing to Izzy Beisegel in the group behind and making fun of her for carrying and using 2 putters.

Ryann is also an eating machine...she scarfed down a salad & sandwich within minutes on the 18th after her rd.

It's shame BB was cancelled because it cost too much to produce.

Sorry to see this week's Symetra Tour event in Rochester NY was reduced from a 4-day event to just 2. Mother Nature strikes again.

And my sister in Indianapolis cannot flush toilets at home or at work due to overflowing septic tanks. She also has to remove water from her overflowing pool and the mosquitoes are thriving. Nice.

Instagram is such a magical platform.  With very little effort, Muni He took us to her plane ride to Europe for the Amundi Evian Championship.  This connection to fans is invaluable.

By the way, the addition of Amundi to this tournament is tremendous.  Amundi is such a financial giant, they could easily raise the purse to $10.0 million in the future years without Evian being part of it.

One of Amundi's big push is to increase their Asian asset to more than $500 billion; LPGA is a pretty efficient way to reach wealthy fans in Asia.

Crazy weather.

Heat Dome and many out of control forest fires on the west coast of Canada and the US and 120+ deaths due to the rain and flooding in Europe.

I saw Danielle Downey in 2008 in Portland at the Sextant bar on Sunday evening...celebrating because she had a good finish at the LPGA event.

RIP Danielle.

I do hope Amundi knocks out Evian and I'm sure the LPGA pros would too.

Mikey had no backbone to tell the 2 CHEESEBALLS how inappropriate their actions were at the trophy presentation....this is not a one time situation.

Hopefully the new commish has a few words with them.

Heck...defending champ Jin Young might throw away the tournament on the 72nd hole so she doesn't have to go through this abuse again....the below is not the look of a women who is enjoying this...nuff said.

I was just thinking why is there no LPGA acknowledgement, as far as courses and events, in WGT Golf. Although the game did partner with them for some matches during the pandemic. They could have done it this year with the US Open because the Olympic course is already in the game.

Had Shibuno won the US Open in December would she have lit the Olympic Cauldron?

Wouldve wanted her or Hideki -- i was wishful thinking, clearly...

but even if Hinako won the US Open I think Japan wanted to show they're getting more open/progressive, hence why the hafus (traditionally not as celebrated) were chosen as flagbearer -  Hachimura (NBA) and torch lighter...  again, that's just an opinion based on what i know - whether this stirs up "controversy" or not, is a subject of debate

The Korean women's archery team won their 9th straight gold medal today. That's impressive.

Your comments about the "38th Parallel" = reminded me of this Korean cheering squad! (heard that Kim Jong Un's wife = one of the pioneer members of the cheering squad)

Even though Olympics tennis awards regular ATP and WTA ranking points; neither PGA Tour or LPGA does..

While rankings affect weekly tournament seeding in tennis, it's different in golf.  In Golf, both #1 and #100 players start each week with the same strokes.

Maybe I'm an exception rather than the rule, but I can't never get excited about Olympics for sports that already have World Cup, World Series, Grand Slam events or Major Championships.  In my mind, Olympics is no more than another weekly event.

I used to feel that way.

But this year's opening ceremony got me thinking.   With all the craziness nowadays, pandemic, out of control politics all over the world, cruelty everywhere, the Olympics is the only event where all the world can gather as one people.

One planet, one people.

Being together as one seems very profound, with all the bs everywhere.
