Best wedge setup

Even though I have a 60* in the bag its almost non existent. It comes out for those rare occasions with little success so I stick with my 56* which is my go to wedge around the greens. If I need to hit it high I have no problems opening it up.

After a lot of trial and error with different wedge setups, to me the most logical way to go is the 3 wedge setup of 47, 52, 58 personally but just like everything in golf you have to find the best solution that works for you and your individual game. I’m looking forward to gaming this setup for the 2021 season and practicing at it to see if it’s the best fit overall.

Looking at your sig it looks like you made the leap to 52,58. How’s it going?

Yup, made the jump! Unfortunately it’s a snowy winter where I am (North of Toronto), and all golf shops are locked down due to COVID. I have to get them extended because I’m 6’7, so can’t really even practice with them until they get adjusted. Just counting down until everything re-opens and the snow melts! Do you have a 52, 58 setup too? Can’t see your sig because I’m on my phone.

Right now 50,54,58. But I’ve got a 52 in case I feel like tinkering. I have played 50,58 on occasion as well.

Gotcha, makes sense. We’ll see how it goes, but I don’t think I’ll miss the 4 wedge setup at all. I had 47, 52, 56, 60 before and went multiple rounds without using the 56. The biggest adjustment will be using a 58 instead of a 60, but with practice it should be fine.

My T200 PW is lofted at 43*. I have a 46* SM8 in the same shaft as my irons (KBS Tour 90) then go to a 52* SM8 and a 58* WedgeWorks, both in the same wedge shaft. If your PW is 48* I personally think you're looking great with your current setup
