Well… took a few days off before progress check, ate good, with solid sleep, and glad I decided to peak today. Hit my 130 goal and hit multiple no ball PR’s and on ball PR’s after the check. I have lost 15-16 lbs over the course of this program, stayed physically healthy, and ready to rock and roll into spring. 
 

Going to try the Flex program now to focus on some coaching/mechanics, more on ball speed work, and try and maintain as much speed as possible in the season.

Has anyone ever had previous sessions they've done just disappear? Every session I've done this past month is no longer showing up. I was almost finished Neural Drive, but am now back to having one more session of Phase 3. Pretty pissed....

I'm about to finish my first program (full speed spectrum) after foundation.  I'd day things are working pretty well.

I started Foundation program at 101, ended at 106. Took a break for season and started Full Speed Spectrum at 106 and ended at 102.  Completed Foundation at 102 and completed at 106. Started Full Speed Spectrum at 106 and ended at 102. Now app is asking to perform new baseline. It looks like all my prior sessions have been deleted. I know this program is helping a lot of people but maybe not me. I’m not sure I’ll continue.

Clarification

I have 5 weeks to prepare for a big event.  I'm considering doing 2 weeks of whatever the app recommends then switching to 'flex' or 'cruiser'.  Anyone have experience/advice in this type of situation?  

 

Or should I do flex for 3 weeks then cruiser for 2?

Well, I finally took the plunge into the Stack System.  In 2021 I was clocking in at 112 mph club speed and 168 ball speed.  Then I had some issues with injuries to mostly my right side...shoulder, elbow and lower back.  I also have some tendonitis in my ankle.  Come to find out I have some bulging discs in my neck.

I had some lidocaine injections in neck about 18 months ago and they really worked quite well.  The doctor told me that I may need injections every 4-6 months and it's only been until the past month that I've felt I may need injections, again.  

While I've felt much better the past 18 months, my swing went to hell in the process and so far for 2024 I think I've figured some things out that have gotten me shallower and gotten rid of the slight pull with a draw (or the straight at the target with a draw) and I don't miss left anymore.

Anyway, I did the testing with the PRGR and the baseline was only 104 mph with the driver.  My next training session is scheduled for Monday.

I've been saying for a while now that if I had to do it all over again or if I had a child and they were into golf and I was teaching them...I'd focus on generating speed and putting, first and foremost.  This is based off my Power-to-Putting Principle that I studied with PGA Tour pros that shows that there's a strong correlation between distance off the tee and the length of the average birdie putt (longer you hit it the more likely you will shorter average length birdie putts).  

That's why players like Bubba Watson who have traditionally been poor putters in SG - Putting have been able to have so much success in their Tour career.  Utilizing arbitrary numbers, if Bubba's average length birdie putt is on 10-feet, the average make % for Tour pros from that distance is 38%.  Typically the very best and very worse putters on Tour only have a +/- 5% variance from the mean make percentage from certain distances.  

So if the average player in the field has an average birdie putt distance of 15-feet which has a make % on Tour of 21%, even Bubba...the weak putter only making about 33% of his 10-foot birdie putts is still going to *sink* more birdie putts than the average player in the field who is at 21%.  And he's likely to sink more birdie putts than the best putters from 15-feet who may only make about 26% of those putts from 15-feet.he may make 

The 'Honey Pot' is to be long and putt well.  Because if Bubba was a 'good putter' then he might make 43% of his birdie putts from 10-feet while the average player is only making 21% of their birdie putts.  

My goal is to get to 115 mph club speed.  I also plan on utilizing the Stack System's putting app once my new putter arrives next week.  I do wonder if Sasho has read my Pro Golf Synopsis because I've done the research and it translates well to what the Stack System's putting app is measuring.  Essentially I found that the the vast majority of Tour pros have a bias toward either toward left-to-right or right-to-left breaking putts.  And that when they putt best they not only start to increase their make percentage of the breaking putts they struggle with, but also the make % of putts they favor and the make percentage usually is about the same.  And that the best putters on Tour almost always have no bias towards breaking putts.  

So I'll be interested in seeing how all of this plays out.  Hopefully I don't re-injure myself in the process.
