Toulon Weights....Where are they?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know why the Toulon weights/ kits have disappeared?  Been searching high and low for an A7 and noticed Toulon weights have become extinct.  Pretty disappointing to see this.

Probably the same place Anthony Kim is hiding.

But seriously no idea it's been like this for a year and a half or something. I remember I did a trade for a Toulon that came with 2 weights and I was more interested in the extra weight than the putter itself. Unless Odyssey is basically trying to get people to order from the Garage to get the weight they want.

What is difference between the Toulon Garage and the "Regular" Toulon?

Regular Toulon is just the OTR stock version of their putter. The Garage is basically semi customizable like neck, finish, alignment, paintfill, grip, etc.

I've noticed the incredibly bare Toulon inventory as of late and, in my opinion, one of two things is happening.

Either Toulon is getting ready to release their 3rd-generation style of putters or Odyssey is getting ready to discontinue the Toulon line altogether.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the latter either. It seems to me that a lot more of even their Tour staff play other Odyssey models outside of the Toulon range.

I also have the gut sense that Toulon may be going away except for a few small batch releases.  I certainly hope not but it seems nothing is on the horizon or at least any hints haven't been shared with us.

This would be sad to me. I love the quasi-traditional look of these putters. I just received my Chicago and have been looking for the 40g weight plate as well. I have been looking for a putter to match my Metal X Milled and may have found it with the Chicago. Now I'm just trying to get the weights close to each other.

I hope the Toulon's continue and can offer more accessories. I can honestly say that after being a 20 plus year Cameron player and collector,  the Toulon Las Vegas has been impressive and is now in my bag.  I've tried numerous Byron Morgan, Bettinardi, Peretti putters....both stock and Tour only models and the Toulon is a great putter.  Really nice job of performance and aesthetics and that is something very hard to achieve in my opinion.

The lack of availability of the weights and tool is ridiculous, at this price point they should be included w a new putter, or at least available for purchase. I ended up just using high density lead tape on the sole.

Edit- I have been a 14 club Callaway guy for over 20 years because the clubs work for me and the exemplary customer service, my loyalty has been rewarded yet again. Somebody reached out to me right away to address the issue, love me some Callaway.🤙👏

My Vegas and Portland have had their soles covered in lead tape.   If I could have found a weight the cost to procure them is ridiculous.

I'd be semi disappointed if Toulon were to discontinue, however, recently I don't feel like they're the same as they once were, after Odyssey taking it over and branding it, so i would be quite happy, on the other hand. How common are Toulons on tour, when you compare to real Odyssey putters ? i expect very few.

For example, older models have the classic "T", whereas the latest models are plastered with "Odyssey" and the circles logo. To be honest, I really don't like that they did that. The Azalea is a good example of that. Previously, you'd get the hammer logo if it were from the garage, much cooler in my opinion.

Small batch release are also pretty irritating, for example, saving the latrobe, as an almost exclusive "limited release" to which they actually produced 2 sets, a black one and a Phil version.

I'm also not fond of their "USA only" approach to selling these, as it makes it much more difficult to obtain, or people simply buy them and upsell them through the bay.

The weights are also very few and far between, as i understood the A|7 was a "tour weight", not sure whether it's really as light as 7g as mentioned above ? i thought it was like 50. Impossible to find the weights alone. not only they don't sell them through the website, it's also very difficult to get the right one for your specific putter. (i think there are 3 variations?)

I've had a search saved for years and hardly see any popping up for sale.

I think they can still make revenue if they made these available when people always want to play around the the weighting system. Otherwise, why make them removeable weights if you don't support the additional weight options ?

I weighed my A7, and it came to about 6g.  I picked up a 20gram, and it weighed slight less than 20g, about 17g if I recall.  Was a pain in the ... to find a 20g weight.  Really wish they'd make the putter weight kits available to the public.

They are now available on the odyssey website.

There are also more then 3 different weights, I think there is more like 6 or 7, the others are super hard to find, but yes, 3 available for purchase.
