Best pants to wear on course/work

Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but why not just change at the course?  I only wear shorts unless it’s below 55 or the course mandates long pants.  You have a golf bag, I presume, and a pair of shorts and socks should fit in any bag.

I haven't tried them yet, but Brooks Brothers seems to have a nice lightweight 5-pocket that is reasonable price when on sale.

okay my criteria may be different than yours. But OP was looking for something to wear to work and then to the course. typically if i were to do that I'd be playing in the early evening when its not outrageously hot, if it was i'd change into shorts. there's only 2 places i'd consider a potential mandatory trousers policy and i can assure you i won't be receiving an invite to either anytime soon.

I prefer Under Armour Showdown. They have regular and tapered and I like them both. They also offer pants for cold weather, hot weather, rain, etc. They're the best I've found for playing golf in and being able to wear at work all day comfortably.

Just picked up two sets of pants from Rhone. Great quality and fit. Didn’t hurt that I got them at half price from Nordstrom.

These are my go to as well. Picked up a pair a few years ago for under $10 after a couple big markdowns and a coupon. Plus with the lifetime guarantee I know if anything happens to them they’ll replace them.

Agreed. I’m either in Adidas or Haggar/IZOD. Just got a pair of Dunning shorts that are perfect and making me curious about their pant selection.

Recently picked up a pair of the Dunning 5-pocket pants at a recent sale (total ended up being around $35-40 I believe).

 

The positives is that they seem well made, style would easily work for both work or golf, and the logo/branding is very minimal which I prefer.

 

However, there were several negatives that will keep me from buying more. First, they only come in 2 size increments so for someone like me (31 waist) the size 30s were too tight and the 32s were slightly too big. Second, the pants are very, very thin to the point where the lighter colors are see through. Considering I'm not wearing pants to the course unless it's cold out this was a big issue for me.
