It's such a morning/afternoon coverage though. I've watched all and maybe 30+ players shown...and not any 4ft meaningless putts.

Re Seve, yes he ruffled some feathers and I'm not a gamesmanship guy (but also not a patsy) but Sergio, Rahm, Alotta exist because of his ground breaking. Such an important euro figure.

 

Plus he was so flawed but so awesome.

Rose is being a bit of a POSER lately...ok..ok...my expectations of her are high.

Now that Shanshan is retiring and Muni & Lucy Li are now full time POSER's....I need someone of Chinese heritage to fanboy...just sayin.

 

IMO...she should turn pro now and get any scrapes of endorsement money she can find now.

On the Euro side, the captain is the one responsible for the drinking games and fun in the war room...so they have a lot of responsibilities.....lol.

 

On the US side...the captain is responsible for the teddy bears, hair ribbons, cotton candy,  face paint and nail polish...ok...ok....at least it used to be that way.

God, the Euro side doesn't want a Scot, they are the best at drinking games, it will be a disaster (although Charley will love it). Maybe that's the secret, though?

'So Far' being the operative phrase.  It really is the toughest course in the entire Open rota, but like all links courses, the weather is much more part of the courses defense  Playing this course, players must carry the ball over the burn 12-13 times over 18 holes and some holes like 17 (twice) and 18 (three times).  These past couple of days, the course known as "Carnasty" had been playing more like "Carnicely" . . . yesterday, the flags were limp all day <cue up a comment from KBong> and today only whisps of wind. 

 

It is supposed to pick up for the weekend with rain overnight and then drizzly rain through the days with gusts up to 18 mph/28 kmh.  If there is enough moisture in the air, then it could be 'haar' or 'mochie' ...but not enough rain for it to be 'drookit'. Sorry, had to slip in some Scottish weather slang.  😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
