SC Phantom X 5.5 putter

Has anyone pre-ordered this putter? Opinions? I find the Stainless Steel face interesting since I don't like aluminum faces. I think will give this a try. I liked the 5.5, just didn't have the feel I am used to using.

I have had mine on order since the start of July and the dates keep getting pushed out by Titleist Australia. It was supposed to be end-July, then mid-August, then got pushed out to mid-September and now its is out till mid-October.
I didn't order anything special, I only ordered a 33" model. It might have something to do with me being in Australia, and the whole COVID dramas but its starting to get a bit annoying now...

If you be know where I can buy one that’s in stock at 33” I will buy it now. 10 weeks seems to be the average waiting time on every golf site I checked.

nah but you can get 34 and 25 inch models from most retailers, they are readily available.

FYI I did have the previous model and loved it but wished it have a ss face. I just made one call to a large golf retailer and they just received 3 at 33" and I immediately ordered one. Thanks to all that replied. Most places are still saying anywhere from 4-10 weeks.

Which ones? I’m trying to find a 5 in 35 inches, but they are all “custom” orders.

I have this one and the 11.5.  I prefer the 5.5 compared to the 11.5 but I feel like the 11.5 with this style neck would be ideal for me.  I do prefer the stainless steel over the Aluminum of the last phantoms.   All that being said I'm still gaming my special select square back and don't see myself moving away from that anytime soon.  I'll probably eventually sell the phantoms.  The special select is in a word... special.  lol.

I called 2nd Swing and didn't know it but ended up talking to the store in Delaware. (Unfortunately I live in Arizona) That morning they received 3 new 5.5s and at least one was 33". So I bought it from them. I will not received it until next Wednesday. I would have done the 2 day shipping if I knew it would take so long. 2nd Swing is sending the head cover from Minnesota, separate for some unknown reason. When I had the previous model I thought to myself, "if it only had a stainless steel face".  My wish came true now I hope I putt as good with it as I hope I will.  Good luck. It seems to be hit or miss with one in stock.

Appreciate the info, I checked with 2nd swing no lefties in any size. Hope you love the new Scotty!

Thanks, I just got lucky. I was ready to order and wait the 2-4 weeks or whatever. I'm sure SC is cranking these out as fast as possible. Good luck.

Yeah good luck….mine is a stock 34 and I ordered it through my Titleist Rep back in Feb.  First it was 4 weeks then turned into end of April, then End of June now it’s supposed to be shipped Sep 15-30 but I’m not getting my hopes up.  I’ll probably have my T200’s long before I see this putter.  Our Rep said they oversold these by 30,000 units and have experienced delays in grips and now headcovers and they don’t have permission from SC/Titleist to ship without headcovers because it would damage the “brand”

I found it strange the Scotty Cameron ran out of these. They always seem to have everything in stock. I guarantee I didn't hesitate when they said they had just receive three and at least one was 33".  It will be worth the wait. I am back to being a SC fan with this putter.

I have been looking for one of these and the golf galaxy near me randomly got one in 35”. I threw an extension in and will reshaft with a stability shaft later. First round with it yesterday and had a great putting day. Very stable. I have liked scotty mallets before but the aluminum face turned me off. The feel of this is much better. A lot closer to my milled blades

I just got told my putter is delayed another month and is hopefully due to be in my hands around mid-November now, if there isn't anymore delays that is...

Two stores in Birmingham, AL just got shipments of three and four of these putters.  Maybe yours will ship soon.  I grabbed one and believe it’s the best putter SC has released in a very long time.
