Irons that work on very tight fairways

I recently moved into Srixon zx7’s.  Playing in Dallas and has not been an issue at all.  I find the v sole to be very versatile.  We can get some pretty tight, baked fairways here especially this time of year.  The dormant grass and hard turf can make it a challenge to manage low point, but the v sole has not presented a challenge whatsoever.  
 

I would think the same with Hogan’s.  They have their version of the v sole as well.  Also, made in DFW, so would not think they would make an iron that does not work in their backyard.

Don't hit the halos as if it is a hybrid but as an iron, so ball first turf after. If it is a visual thing then get more traditional looking irons. Srixon v sole is good but don't get the 7 series unless you hit it like Matsuyama. I have an older set of z355, ,must be from around 2014: v sole, forgiving and look nice behind the ball. But any game improvement iron will do

Just spent a week in Georgia playing on burmuda, and my Sub 70 699 Pro irons worked fine. If you are looking for something that is quite forgiving but will work on different surfaces these might work.

OP here thanks for all the comments. I am a 16 handicap so I was somewhat limited in the clubs I could look at, I ended up purchasing a set of slightly used Cleveland UHX irons these I believe will do everything I need. I will also keep the launcher halos. Thanks again everyone fairways and greens.

I mean, you’re playing launchers now. Can’t think of anything that will give you the same forgiveness but are thinner. Your struggles are justified though. I played some Legacy Blacks all last year and then went and did the snowbird thing in fla and didn’t play nearly as well. I’m bringing a few different sets down south this year to see what works... miura 1006’s, tm p760’s, adams xtd forged and bridgeston j15 cb’s.

Jack Pearsall would first play the ball a bit back in the stance to promote better ball contact before ditching clubs and more weight on the left side. But blades are not the answer at all. SGI to blades?

I also play a course that's hard and find that lower bounce irons are better in that situation.  I recently moved from Ping's to Mizuno for (partly) that reason; Ping = high bounce, Mizuno = low bounce
