OEM Headcover Hall of Fame

I hate clubhead covers that take work to put on (like the long socks), and I also hate OEM ones that are flashy. If I want flashy, it's going to be something unique and cool, not Callaway's in your face bright green "EPIC".

One that stood out to me for tech was the Nike Sasquatch line, very easy to slide in the top and clip onto the shaft. Honestly surprised those styles never took off more it felt pretty innovative and stylish, really did think it was "the next big thing."

And while there's nothing special about this next one, the Titleist TS headcovers (originals, not sure about the i's) are so classy. They feel like nice quality leather, super easy to slide on and off, not too flashy, and way more durable to sun damage than the fabric ones of like Callaway. Overall it's the best material/construction quality OEM headcover I've had, period.

I was genuinely surprised at how much I like the stock Stealth headcover after seeing it in person.  Seeing pictures of it, I originally thought it was pretty ugly.  I think it looks good in person though.

It got me thinking of what my favorite OEM headcovers were.  Styles have changed so much over the years I have been playing.  I remember when the shaft protector "socks" were first added as graphite became normal and the standard, and the few years that magnetic closure headcovers were the rage, to the mitt style we currently see.

My submissions to the OEM Headcover Hall of Fame are:

1)  Great Big Bertha Warbird and (original Great Big Bertha).  Simple and awesome.

2) Titleist 975D/975J.  I loved the OG "Cat in the Hat" black and red sock.

3) Scotty Cameron Studio Design.  The iconic yellow headcover with the attached pivot tool could be spotted from across the golf course.

That is a fantastic list. The Callaway Biggest Big Bertha was also good.

I really like the Titleist 910 series headcovers.

The only OEM stock covers I would consider are the Mizuno covers - very clean, simple, and no model specific branding.

I think the TsR headcover quality, design, fit is top notch. I wish TM would use the same design as I use Stealth Driver and fairways.

Hopefully the Qi10 headcover is similar and I’ll use.

The all white Mizuno is my favorite. I think the ST200? I had the TS 3 wood. Great club too.

Any idea where you can get the white one?

They used to be easy to find on Ebay. Haven't looked in a while

the Qi10 headcover did not meet my expectations. Bummer. Cool color but fit (especially the driver) is not ideal for me.

Pxg stock covers are the absolute best.  I'm not a pxg junkie, but those are great.  High quality and they have magnet in them.

This.  My brother in law plays PXG clubs.  I saw the head covers for the first time this weekend and they are by far the highest quality OEM cover I have ever seen.

While I never got along at all with the TM Burner driver itself, the headcover was about the peak for functionality. I still use a headcover that has a long, sock-like protector for the shaft on my driver. It's the club that gets used the most by far and the extra second it takes to put on is well worth it to not get an accidental ding from my other clubs. Not a fan at all of the current boxing glove style covers for my driver.

Three full storage bins of headcovers;  barrels, molded, sock type, OEM.

I switched to knits for the colors/patterns and light weight. .

Our course recently got logo'd covers through PRG, and they are heavy.

When you carry, the little things make a difference.
