Mizuno wait time?

Ordered a Mizuno JPX hybrid on 1/23 and it arrived Saturday 3/26. Delay was the system outage plus the GP Z cord grip I wanted was 'out of stock' until end of March. Trying to get a proper clear answer from DSG was a nightmare.

DSG never put in a custom FliHi order for me. Waited 6 weeks for them to be like “whoops it was never sent over to mizuno.” Luckily a customer service rep understood the situation, put me in the line where it would have been and it shipped within a week from there. 
 

absolutely miserable to deal with regarding custom orders. Never again.

Same! Off the rack is one thing but as soon as it was a custom order there was a complete breakdown in information.

Probably because the custom orders go through a separate group of DSG and of course they can’t be spoken to on the phone. It’s a terrible system.

After countless emails/phone calls and what has seemed like a lifetime of waiting (10 weeks), I was informed my 223's have shipped and should arrive tomorrow (actual tracking number provided).  Can't wait to give them a go this weekend.

I’d probably go ahead and jump ship then. 8 weeks appears to be minimum right now.

Oh I gotcha. Well hopefully for your sake they get it to you in that 8 weeks. I’m right at 8 weeks and I don’t expect mine to show before mid/late April.

My order from 2/6 & one of their stock shaft offerings still hasn't received a ship notification, but I'll post the second it does.

Called today they do have 225 heads. But the last shipment of 223 heads was small. They are expected to get more later this week or next week. This sucks I am still waiting now just over 10weeks. I am gonna hold on until they come. They have to get here soon….. don’t they?!

Only 10 weeks..I’m about 4 months in now… how long can I wait…LOL

Anybody ordered JPX 921s lately? Wondering if the wait time on them is just as long or if they’re stocked up and can be built quickly now.

Well you have to figure in your pre order time too. I waited 17weeks last year for my 921 forged

I ordered JPX 921's through a local pro / Mizuno first week in March, but I was fit into the Project X IO 6.0 that's backordered til May 5 currently.

 

I am not sure where I stand in the line, but the pro let me keep my clubs (JPX 919) until the 921's arrive so I can wait a little bit

Just ordered two single irons MP-20 HMB (8i,9i) from Golfio, let's see how long they take with KBS Tour Stiffs and GP Align MCC something

Here's another option that worked for me because I'm impatient 😃

 

I ended up buying a used set of JPX921 Forged that were more or less the specs I wanted with the shaft I wanted (Nippon 950GH Neo) from Global Gold and then had them extended and regripped at PGA Superstore for $~120. Saved $$ still overall, for them all done within 1 week, and avoided the delay mess!

The name on the box is completely irrelevant to the box getting to its destination. The address on the box, and the scannable barcode are what's important to move it through the shipping chain.

I got a message today from the club pro to say that Mizuno rep informed him they have just received an order of the shafts I was needing (Modus 105) and my order should be fulfilled within the next 14 days.

 

I think the big problem is shafts and your lead time will depend on how far back ordered they are with the shaft you are looking for.

Probably 6-8 weeks like everyone else, slightly more since they’re probably going to club champion first to check specs.

 

Advice id offer is forget about them for 6 weeks. Maybe call Mizuno and make sure all the components are available when it gets closer to 6 weeks.

I just got my two custom T22 wedges (longer but stock TI S400, stamps, different grip) yesterday, 4/7, from a 2/21 order. Just over 6 weeks from order to door, and only 1 day from shipping notification to delivery.

Your post gave me hope so I called Mizuno. My 2/25 order through Golf Galaxy was received by Mizuno on 3/1 and they’re currently working on orders from 2/25. Hopefully this means I’ll get a shipping notification next week.

Pre-Covid Club Champion would order clubs stock from manufacturers, pull out the stock shafts, insert their own shaft (cutting it to their own spec), install their own grips, and bend them to their desired lofts and lies. Don't know if covid altered that methodology, but if not I would think Club Champion might receive clubs quicker (since stock clubs are often already stockpiled  by manufacturers), but from that point it may take longer depending on what components they have in stock, and the time it takes them to both assemble and ship them to you (if you aren't going to drive over and pick them up directly from Club Champion if they tell you they are done).

That tells me you got a wall/display set that they had thrown away the original box for. If your irons looked okay you got lucky. Most of the time hackers pull the display sets off the walls and bang them up. Even if the workers are conscientious , and try to tape them up if they see someone trying to make swings or hit things with them they still often get scuffed and shanked by the hackers.

Called Mizuno today they are expecting a smalll shipment of Pro223 heads. Not sure why they are getting small numbers?!?!

I was fit on 1/13. Then my order placed somewhere after that. My irons better be in this bunch!!
