I assume there is some sort of grace period so he can get clubs to his spec and liking. Deal signed today and tournament starts tomorrow. Wouldn't surprise me to see full bag w/ putter within the next couple months.

Why can't I buy a low bounce K off the shelf? My current low bounce K is long past its prime and its impossible to find a replacement. One of these days I'm going to be like that guy who walked up to Rory's bag on the Euro tour and just took a club and walked away to take some practice swings with it.

Did you happen to catch if a ball switch was in play? I know TM likes its players to play their ball if at all possible. I dont know what he was playing last week, but I assume it was a prov1 of one kind or another.. Could be wrong though.

No ball switch to TM. Only TM woods and irons along with the TM bag.

@TaylorMadeGolf slinging that cash. Hope the young man continues on his rise. Seems like he well grounded. He’s already playing the irons and now has switched to the driver, so why not get paid as an added bonus. I’m sure it was eating at @TaylorMadeGolfhim winning with their gear and not getting notoriety for it. It’ll seem odd not seeing that white golf bag though! Good luck to him!

I don’t get it from TM’s POV except for using him in marketing. He’s already playing their woods and irons but now they’re paying him and he doesn’t need to change, let’s say, four clubs or ball? Except for driver, putter and ball would get the most air time and he’ll be using Titleist product.

Caddy carry a TM will get way more airtime and 99% golf viewers on TV will have no clue what clubs he’s using, so they will assume it will be TM

 

The Stealth driver in the bag was a recent change that without him under contract could be out of the bag next week

It’s a great deal for TM cuz before they couldn’t use his name in any ads when he won and now they can

I am fascinated and also can't understand the ROI with these types of deals. Yes a TM bag can have any clubs in it and people at the tournament see that and might associate their next purchase to what brand they saw on TV, but I almost never notice the bag or its colors on the broadcast, in fact the only reason I associate bags with players is because the pics on this site.  Putters are a different story.

His various WITB's have listed the Nike as 13.5* even though its stamped 15*, do you know it to be bent? If so them I can imagine the 16.5* Stealth might be bent stronger as well, in which case I can imagine that being similar numbers wise to the Nike, especially with a much stouter shaft in it (Ventus 8x which appears to be very heavily tipped).

I am guessing he plays both. Even with both I am only counting 14 clubs.

I have that same Nike 3 Wood. Amazing club, it's not my primary 3 as I upgraded to the Nike VR Cover 3 Wood but have had many good memories/shots with that thing. I can see why it hasn't left his bag.

Greg makes a great point.  You see Langer now with a full Exotics sponsor, bag, clubs everything.  I searched and searched and found he is only playing their 4-5-6 and PW blades.  NOTHING ELSE is Exotics but the bag and covers, towel and patches and caddy's hat.

 

Everything in life is a BIT guys.  Not a lie.  But a BIT that is bending the truth.  I am in technology sales and so much looks and feels like its from another planet.  Its not and its really not that special.  Just sounds and is presented to be special.  

TM wants to brag about Scottie, use him on ads, pics, mags and websites.  Clean cut TX boy with PGA wins.  He says the right things and not much to worry about except lock him up now in case he is world # 1 soon and he would have cost 10x that!
