Sold Out in RH, LH avail - RARE ALERT - Tour issue adjustable-hosel Mavrik fairway 4 wood @ CPO $179

EDIT: It seems RH models are sold out, but the LH model is in stock with some sweet shafts?

 

I have no idea how I stumbled on these but I just posted about the tour issue 7 woods when these 'strong 4 woods' caught my eye. CPO lists these as 17 degrees. Hmmm...

 

I did some digging and callaway did not make a Mavrik SZ 4 wood tour-issue in 17 degrees EXCEPT the very rare adjustable-hosel version which sells for like $350 on ebay when they do pop up.

I just called in to inquire and was told it was a glued in hosel

I called CPO and they had someone in the warehouse walk to that bin with the clubs and verify in person. They said they are adjustable.

 

Now does that mean that somehow Callaway made a non-adjustable 17* and both types are in that bin and the person only looked at a few of them? Maybe - but it would be on the conforming list for the USGA to be legal and there is no bonded 17*.

I was told that someone checked them in-person and they are adjustable. If you called and the sales rep just looked at the pics on the site, they would be incorrect. But who knows, I guess. We'll see.

Yeah they only had 4-5 of them in the two flexes. 1 in S and 4-5 in the X in stock.

 

Can't wait to see someones BST post 'bought this last week but uhhh didnt know it was black so putting this up for sale, $350 firm' 🤣

Oh wow, i didnt even think to check the LH models as mine is always set to Mens/Right.

 

Look at hat shaft, too! Lots of premium shafts in the LH models.

 

EDIT to add: Callaway also makes this adjustable model in a 15* - and I see the LH listing has 15* 3 woods listed as well. Maybe some of them are the adjustable model? Cant tell because theres also a bonded 15* model and someone would need to check the warehouse again.

Out of curiosity I typed “Tour Certified” in the search on the CPO site and came across this gem.

This is tour only DS version, supposed to be very limited production.  Draw version of the Triple Diamond, played by Marc Leishman.

I always wondered with this club if they somehow controlled the spin characteristics via the AI designed face and had a different face profile that would promote a different type of spin OR they just slapped a gob of hotmelt into the front heel section and called it a "DS" model.

Judging by the pics on the BST post I think it’s safe to say all of these “strong 4 wood” are the adjustable models

It’s just the only option they had in the website system probably. There’s no such thing as a weak 4 wood so they chose the only non standard product option they had.
