I'm just glad the games are fun again.  There was a while there where it was just a beat down waiting to happen.

If Georgia, Washington and Florida State all take care of business, I don't think a 1-loss team has a shot of getting in the playoffs. 

 

If one of those teams lose in their conference championship, it's going to be tough to put a 1-loss non-conference champ in over a 1-loss conference champ. (Louisville, Oregon, Alabama).

 

At this point, the only team that could probably withstand a loss (and have everyone else win out) is Georgia.

I would bet the NCAA is hoping M doesn’t win it all. Having to possibly pull a national championship from a team isn’t a desirable position to be in. Just ask Manfred about the Astros in ‘17. Worst case scenario

Well. I tried to pulll for Ohio state so that M is out of the playoff … but I can’t. 🤣.  I tried to eat lunch and saying go buckeye just made me feel sick.     I think we’re seeing Ohio states overratedness exposed.  Michigan isn’t that good.  🤨

You can’t let a QB sit back for 10-12 seconds with no pressure. Someone will get open, you just can’t cover fir that long.

Well. At least they lost early so we don’t have to go through the emotional rollercoaster 😂.  Being serious. I very much prefer to know that it’s over early than to hope for 4 quarters.  Kind of like hitting one OB on the first hole.  Knowing the round isn’t a good one early makes for no pressure.

That was repulsive. Worst defense i've ever seen. No excuse for giving up a 30 yard 4th and goal. None. If you're dropping 9, how do you end up with single coverage in the corner of the endzone? Yoh should have 9 guys jn the endzone.

There were 2 rushing and one spying the qb on the line of scrimmage. Thats the mistake, he should have been rushing also 

 

There were actually like 8 Auburn guys in the endzone but somehow just one ended up on that guy. The defender was right with him but they were both just hanging around in the endzone, it’s not like the receiver got hit by the qb running a pattern

 

Then he just broke off back into the corner at just the right time and it was a perfect throw with a leaping catch

 

People like don’t let him get behind you! But they both already in the endzone, what you gonna do…let him catch the ball in front of you?

Well. That was a battle of two terrible offensive teams.  And I guess the tigers deserve to win just on kickers alone.  But that’s one of the worst officiating crews I’ve seen in a long time.  Two offsides calls in a row on a center. And the center didn’t move the ball.  A phantom holding call on a kick return.  A phantom hold on a long reception.  And zero pass interference calls at all.  Yet we see darn near tackled receivers on every throw.  ACC crew did their job.  For sure.

He glanced back at the QB for just a second and lost track of the receiver and couldn’t pick the ball up quick enough. But you just can’t let the QB set back there forever. And you don’t need to spy him because he’s not running 40 yards to the end zone. 
 

If he’s scrambling around being chased, he probably doesn’t even get the ball to the end zone. Just like the Jets QB on Friday.

Interesting stories developing, such as:

• Next coach at Texas A&M? That fan base is tremendous….friendly, travel well, and knowledgeable. But the Board of Regents, the AD, and the booster club appears not to be on the same page — especially if the rumors of the AD having made a verbal to Stoops and having been overruled after the fact by the BoR are true. That is a real problem if that’s what happened….couple that with the reality of A&M being a 2nd or 3rd rate program (1 national title before anyone living today was alive, 1 conference title in the modern era…) BUT one that could effectively double the pay of just about any coach…..quite a dilemma and will be interesting to see what happens here. 
• Can Bama hang with UGA next week? If Bama upsets UGA then what happens? Does the mighty SEC get two teams in?
• If FSU wins the ACC, do they get in, or does the committee give a giant F.U. to the ACC and leave out an unbeaten conference champ because they are in fact weakened with QB2 in there?
• Is there any chance Ohio State coach Day goes somewhere else voluntarily?

Win or lose in the 'ship game, believe UGA will be one of the four.  Interesting to see what happens with Bama if they were able to beat Georgia.  Can they leapfrog over several teams ahead of them to grab a spot?  Maybe.  Depending.  

 

Don't know how the committee could justify not including FSU if they remain undefeated and the ACC champ.  Regardless of the QB situation.  

 

Don't think Day would leave tOSU voluntarily.  He's 56-7 during his HC tenure, making good coin with an extension.  Made the CFP playoffs three of his five full seasons.  But the Bucknuts are crazy and cannot tolerate losing to the Wolvies.  And three of the loses are to them.  Involuntary, maybe.  There are rumblings.  

 

How much longer is Dabo going to be around at Clemson?  Until Saban determines he's done?

Dabo could go to Alabama when Saban retires. That is the only job I could see him possibly going to, and even that I’d give a 1 in 5 chance at best (as a Clemson man I’d say “at worst.”) He is 54 years old and my thinking is Alabama will want the next coach to be a little younger and there for quite a while. But that’s a major guess, and people forget that Bama was in the wilderness for quite a while with some bad hires when Stallings retired, so who knows. 
 

Either way, Alabama is the only gig I could see Coach ever leaving for, and I hope that never happens. Would be a major blow for us. I want CDS to retire from Clemson.
