PXG 0317 ST Irons - In Hand Pics

I'm gonna go against the grain here. But firstly, this isn't a knock on performance. PXG is a premium brand that makes great equipment. For my money though, these have some of the lowest bag appeal of any iron in recent memory. I think these things are butt ugly.

I appreciate that the iron is targeted at an elite player, and that it’s easier to perfectly blend them at a specific iron, but I’d take a less-perfect blend if I could have a couple more of the cavity back.

The cavities are like if Michael Bay designed the i210s. The blades look nice with the silver weight.

They pair up nicely for a combo set, I have been gaming 5-7 T and 8-P ST for a month now. The Gen5 T are definitely more forgiving and let you get away with bad swings far better. You will see more of a distance loss when you miss the center on the 0317 ST compared to the 0311 T. If I miss out of the toe my 0311 T my ball will usually still hit the front of the green or fringe. With the 0317 ST that same miss will probably come up about 3 yards shorter and be in the rough. Hey @knudson81 can you tell us if you got the lofts adjusted to blend together better? It's only off by a little, but curious if you adjusted.

Is the 60 day trial standard from PXG? I was thinking about inquiring about some PXG clubs thru DD as well.

Yes, pxg offers the 60 day return and DD honors that.

Mine were returned will be getting the refund from DD....soon.

I ended up going 1* strong on the 8-Pw to try and get a little more out of them. I didn't necessarily need to but it eased my mind and I feel like I don't have to be 100% dead center every shot
