4. Which set of irons would you like to test, and why? I honestly wouldnt mind any of the three. Ideally a combo of some sort if possible. I do like a good forged blade in my short Irons. The second I heard of the 301 MB/CB, I was instantly intrigued. My current set is good but reaching a wear point to be replaced and saving some money but not sacrificing quality with Takomo is exactly what Id be looking for.

4. 301CB. The 962B's have been firmly planted in my bag for more than 15 years. a childhood favorite that once I could afford a set certainly lived up to the hype. But they're beginning to look a worn a weary and I'm on the hunt for the modern equivalent. With its short blade length and minimal offset, The 301CB looks to be a fantastic contender as the next 962b and a club I'm excited to try.

For the last 6 years, I have not found a single set of irons I have enjoyed playing more. Each year I try new clubs, and nothing has been able to outperform these clubs for me. Would love to try the 301CB. The sleek look of this iron definitely looks like it could contend...just have to put them to the test.

Takomo 301CB - when I was doing testing for my current irons two years ago I was right on the line between a forged CB like the 301 and the hollow body forged that I ended up in with the Ben Hogans. I tried both and got along with both but the Hogans just seemed a little safer. I always think about those forged CBs I hit and know that would be my next iron. These seem to fit the exact bill of what I have grown into.
