Same here - the NEXT% version doesn't look bad at all.  I'd probably swap out the purple laces but that's it.

I would have bought them too.  They never released last years PGA CHAMPIONSHIP version to the public.

Curious:

 

anyone have issues with the new am1 ‘86 OG G on the outside of your lead foot as you swing through and shift weight? I suspect its the midsole height and possible narrow-ness. Borderline painful and noticed it while walking even. I felt on both feet to be fair, but really only painfully on lead side.

Not sure if many ppl realize the logistics workflow that have to go into mass producing these LE shoes. The molds and colors aren't identical to the normal shoe. Then you have to allocate/dedicate the factory resources to produce (taking time away from producing more popular items), then allocate to different regions based on varying demographics, etc. End of the day, I doubt it's worth producing many LE's, and simply easier to have 1off customs made by hand for the star athletes, and sent to a few influencers to create buzz. And this isn't even factoring in the dwindling Golf division resources within SB.

Then don't have a golf branch. Those shoes also turn a large profit because they can mark them up. If we're arguing logistics for a multibillion dollar company then maybe they just don't need to be making golf shoes.

Footjoy had 3 different colorways for the masters this year.... Not to mention the MANY collabs they do throughout the year. So it's not that hard if you care about the product.

Yeah the AM 86' G has a weird midsole or something. It is elevated on the outside. I've ordered so many of these to try and not of it but it's on all of them. Some are less pronounced than others. Weird thing is the AM 86 regular shoe is so comfortable.

Thanks for the feedback. Ill skip getting a second pair to try then. So although i “bought” shoes this year, i havent kept any. So does this mean im still on track for my no buying golf shoes this year? 🤣
