Good news all around, I didn't know about Emma, Jasmine and Kaitlyn:

GOLF NUPTIALS IN SEASON

"On the women’s side, this year Lydia Ko, Emma Talley, Jaye Marie Green, Jasmine Suwannapura, Caroline Masson, Kelly Tan and Kaitlyn Pap all were married in the winter months."

Explains why Papp was a no show at Q school.  Hope to see her in some events this year.

I hope it’s better than the sample one they did a while back. Production value was low and it mainly featured interviews. Watching Gaby Lopez and Amy Olson make fajitas and play pickle ball wasn’t that entertaining (shocking!!). A lot of these series thrive on rivalries, some contempt from teammates  and competitors toward each other, controversies etc. The LPGA has focused so heavily on making everyone think it’s all rainbows and smiles it won’t be compelling. Those that follow the tour closely KNOW there are players that cheat, hate each other, and are horrible human beings but will the LPGA focus on that? Will they invest the type of money into production to rival Netflix? If not, this will be a disaster because it will basically mean Netflix or another serious platform wasn’t interested and it will appear the lack if interest was justified.

She may not be as good as Novak Djokovic, but is as stubborn:

It was reported here many who did not want to be vaccinated had just got someone else willing to get double vaccinated. It was done at most pharmacies and all they asked for was your name and address and it was immediately recorded into the government database as being done..... no ID was required or asked for.

Clearly, the vaccination administration is different in every different countries.  Either Linn and Novak have high integrity or they're very strict in Sweden and Serbia.

Eventually, issues will be resolved; but it certainly has hurt sports in the meanwhile.

I hear you, it's tough to stomach!

What Annie has to do is make the most of a much weaker field when she gets to start 2023 at the Blue Bay in China.

Yes some countries would have used different ways of identifying someone getting vaccinated. Ours was just typical of how we expected it to be handled like everything else during the pandemic.

Indeed!

I wonder why my "Iron Lady" Yealimi Noh didn't sign up to play Blue Bay or Saudi Ladies International!  I guess Yealimi won't be "Iron Lady" anymore now she doesn't have Hana Bank to pay for everything!

I wonder how long it's going to be before we see some of these players joining the LET and relocating to Europe with the increasing purses backed by Saudi oil money.

Good question!

The breakdown of LET's 2023 purse, which is 32 tournaments and $37.0 million:

                                                                                                          Tournament                       Purse

Tournaments backed by Saudi Oil money                                              6                                 $10.0 million

LPGA events including 2 majors                                                              4                                 $17.3  million

All others                                                                                                  22                                $10.0 million

LET could potentially unseat LPGA If Saudi up the ante from $10.0 million to more than $100.0 million; which can easily be done.

An example of another benefit...if you look at the Saudi Ladies International the Top 60 LET are exempt and Johanna Gustavsson is #2 with RR #165. Annie Park non-member top 300 WWGR RR #175 probably won't get into the field. As a professional they must start looking at where is the best chance of earning a living while trying to improve their ranking.

Those glorious days!

I haven't followed Annie closely during her early LPGA days.  I assume she had injury issues early in her LPGA career and it might still bother her somehow.

I noticed a fair amount of native European college players chose to go the LET route, obviously closer to the mother land. But imho, if you're trying to get to the LPGA, one would think the Epson tour would be a better shot.

Probably wouldn’t happen unless LET broke off on its own or indeed a Women’s LIV happened.

At this moment it’d be like leaving Walmart to shop at Sam’s Club.
