... We are quite the group. Thursday in the middle of the night I woke up with a splitting headache and a ton of congestion. By morning and coughing hard enough to make my ribs ache, I realized I was having a second bout with Covid. Just had it in late November and trying to think where I might have picked it up but I didn't go anywhere or interact with anyone other than walking in Panera to pick up an order, Picked up my artwork but didn't touch anyone, a brief trip to Sprouts and playing golf. I bump fists and don't shake hands anymore so this one is a real mystery. This hit pretty hard but thankfully not quite as bad as the 1st time.

Dang, chi - feel better dude! Me and Ms. ae have been fortunate to avoid COVID but it got miniature Ms. ae pretty good early last year. Didn't seem too fun.

 

Ya know what's also not fun? Tetanus shot side effects. FINALLY feeling somewhat normal again but the couple days after; low grade fever, body aches, lethargy ... just felt all cloudy. 

 

Swelling on my hand's just about all gone, which is good news. Thought there MIGHT be a chance I could hit the range tomorrow but still some soreness so prolly best to leave it be.

... Nice farewell speech. I went to one Blackhawk hockey game in 1978 and there were several bloody fights on the ice. Several more in the stands and one the row in front of me. Really nasty. I haven't watched a hockey game since then. Just not my jam.

Slow day today.  This guy and his guests are behind us.  We chat on 1, whatever.  On three they drive into us.  I give them the benefit of the doubt.

 

On the 4th tee box he tells us, and this is paraphrased, “I live in san Diego and I am a member at a lot of private clubs. I don’t come her too often.”

 

We keep playing, I realize he is big timing us, so I buy them drinks.

 

On 9 this guys hits into us AGAIN.  At the turn he is being Richie Rich and my wife says that two strikes.  So I say, if I see another ball it’s coming back at you.  Don’t effing do it again.

 

So the beer cart is with us.  One kid says, every time I see you the beer cart is with you.  So I explained, we give him $20 every time he rolls through.  He says, and I wish I was kidding, “That’s why I don’t have to.”

 

So many dooshes in this world.  Our guy, when we explained the situation didn’t even stop for them.

 

Golf wise.  79, not good, but dang I hit it well.  Oh and Mrs P3P says to the rich guy, yeah instead of buying a house we built a sim at the house… bc we have friends.  OUCH.

NHL hockey has changed drastically since the late 70's.  Speed, hustle, and grace abounds while fighting has been reduced to almost nil.  The playoffs rarely display fighting as teams do not need needless injuries and giving up potential power plays.  The players are bigger and faster and the goalies have grown in size (perhaps too big IMO).  I know you say it's not your jam, but in the years that have passed perhaps your tastebuds have changed.  Just try a few minutes of the upcoming playoffs...you might like it!

The Coyotes were a failed experiment from the start. They should never have been moved from Winnipeg. I lived there for 7 years and went several times a year and the city always supported the team there. The time in Arizona was an embarrassment for the league.

... It is pretty crazy. I avoided it until my friend visited last fall and brought it right to my house. I have avoided crowded venues when possible, rarely eat in a restaurant and when I do sit outside. Yet I have had it twice. Again, this last time is a head scratcher because I didn't go anywhere or do anything that should have brought me in contact with covid. You on the other hand, seem to go any and everywhere in public with plenty of crowds and you have avoided it. I think that is awesome! 👍 

... OTOH, sorry to hear about your friendly fire from mans best friend. 🙁

... Putting tools (and styles) are always interesting. I have always viewed a putting stroke as a mini golf swing. Face opens on the backswing and closes on the follow through. There is an arc to the path of the stroke that occurs very naturally. While it is impossible to make a stroke straight back and straight thru, it is possible to come close but utilizing that technique requires manipulation. Like everything in this game what works for some doesn't work for others, and never truer than the putting stroke. In the end I think whatever you gives you the best chance at making a repeatable stroke and holing putts is your best option.

... That said, bending over naturally and comfortably from the waist, allowing your arms and hands to just hang tension free requires zero manipulation and puts you in the best possible position to make a repeatable stroke. But again, we are all different and some just struggle with putting. Then we have feel vs mechanical. I have read many posts about this putter and it is almost universally praised so I hope it brings you excellent results!

When I was studying, observing, testing and writing code for my unrealized putting aid project (that I never finished); it's physically impossible without terrible manipulation to do a straight back straight through. Anything that tries to sell that is a scam. 

 

This is why some find "the one" putter and stick with it and others go through many trying to find it. And it comes down to very small numbers across more than a few metrics. There's a balance (literally) of how the toe flow will fit with our own unique motion. Which, of course, can change through the days, months and years. 

 

Trying to fight what works between our own motion and the balance of a particular putter is where trouble comes. We want one that feels effortless and matches our applied motion. We also can't force ourselves into one or the other.

 

Man, I spent a lot of time on that project.
