Just read an article about the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ. EV with 450 mile range. Only $175k as shown, but that includes thermal imaging on your 55” interior display screen.

image.png.8385103e978c2df4d1b7b29cb3c385d4.png

That's what CS will be getting I bet.

I had to learn more so I checked into it TL.

The front end is hideous and those tail lights are so "Try Hard".

Other than those two style elements I think it looks good.

The screen on the dash and center console is wild looking.

I am pretty blown away at what I have witnessed in my 45 years of driving cars.

If I were going to spend $175k on an automobile it certainly wouldn't be a General Motors product.

Man, I put down a respectable (in some circles) amount of Yuengling for a couple weeks back in April 😂

My parents retired to Asheville in 1987. I came to visit them twice a year. When I would go out to a bar (80's and early 90's) I noticed that "THE beer " of Asheville (before the craft boom) was Yuengling. I had never heard of it up in DC. That was all they drank here in the mountains outside of the three national brands, and they drank up way more Yuengling. I have tried it and it is a decent beer.

If I may ask aen, what was the event back in April that had you swilling plentiful amounts of the stuff?

It was kinda the beer of choice when I was growing up. But you just don't see it west of TX really. Could prolly seek it out or find it at, like, Total Wine here or something. Honestly haven't looked.

So, ya know, our Spring '23 tour back east. 🙂 I WANNA say I first saw it on tap in Amarillo but it might've been Dallas. Can't remember.

That's a good PA beer, we had it all Rolling Rock, Iron City, and Yuengling.

We had small amounts of IC served in the District and loads of bars served RR P3P, but oddly no Yuengling.

Interested to see if the 450 mile range pans out to work in the real world. However, even if it does $175,000 is just comical. That front is definitely butt ugly.

... I was a member for about a month. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about and bought some TW737V's and played them about 3 weeks and for me they were ... OK but nothing special. I believe I was playing the Cobra Fly Z's at that time and I preferred them ever so slightly more so I sold the Honma's, my itch being scratched.

These photos just illustrate the difference between the guy in the BMW and the guy in the Prius.  And I will say this, people used to make fun of my proclivity for BL when I played hockey and soccer, but the first beer gone was the BL.  The usual caveats, "I don't really drink this but I am (you name the mood)"

The Silver Bullets, BLs, Ultras and Lites will be the first gone even though there are only 48 Heinekens.  Who ever says they like the taste of Heineken is lying, they just want you to think they have that much money to spend on a mass produced beer but still want to be a beer snob.

For sure the first gone will be the house beer P3P our 1922 lager that is made downtown by the Green Man Brewery. Notice there are 12 cases of that beer. The owner is a member and a heck of a fun guy. He's only been in the game for a few years and he got his first ace at CCA two weeks ago. He was mighty jazzed. Green Man was one of the first craft suds makers in Asheville.  After two decades of hard work he is now #3 in the city behind only Sierra Nevada and Highland Brewery. Can you believe that there are now 60 breweries in the greater Asheville area? Too many.  I can't tell you the last time I saw someone drinking a Heineken. More are apt to tip back a Stella before the other green bottled beer.

Please do! You’re right, I wasn’t in the market for a putter. I was in hitting a few drivers and headed over to the putting green. I bought my Odyssey used at a Golf Galaxy a long time ago. I think I paid $35 for it and was expecting to find used putters in the $100 range. Man, I was shocked at the prices. They had a Spider similar to yours for $250.

I agree with BC and NJBF TL, Mike's is a solid outfit to buy used clubs from.

I also like Pro Clubs and Mr Topes golf.

Yep.  The worst is that the finder is actually a mopar guy.  I told him “ you basically found a hemi cuda in preserved state , from the original owner.”  It’s not worth the same as the hemi. But it’s just as desirable in the ford  circle of collectors.

ill post pics whbe I get them. It maybe weeks , he says that if a deal is struck today,  it’s a 3/4 day job to get it out of its tomb. This guy has a huge collection and a huge building to house it.  So I volunteered to help move it and put it back inside at his place.  I’ll definitely get pics then.     I’ve been texting him all afternoon.  Decoding and deciphering things for him  …. The car has a 4.30 rear gear !  I first thought 3.91. But it’s the 4.30 “ drag pack “ gear which then adds the factory oil cooler up front for the engine.  I’m telling you it doesn’t get rarer than this one for late 60s ford stuff. This is above finding a Shelby mustang in a barn as far as rarity goes.  All but maybe a 65 R code gt350.  The fact that it’s been in this basement since 1979 is just unreal.

I am not really a drag racing expert as much as early NASCAR ( pre 2000) but I think those were built at the factory for a "stock" NHRA class called FX or Factory Experimental. Sorta in the same light as the 1964 Fairlane 427 "Thunderbolts" and the experimental stripped down Plymouth Savoys with the 426 Hemi

I just bought a like $30 air compressor from Home Depot and do all my grip installs/removals with air. Use plain ol' masking tape as a base and never had any problem with slippage or anything.

Same here with my compressor being a medium sized one left over from my racing days. That compressor is like 30 years old but has not been used much in the last 15 years or so. When it croaks I will get a cheap one like yours from Home Depot or Harbor Freight. And like you I use masking tape and have never had a grip slip. I have been using the air method some 15 years now. When I was messing with a lot of scrapyard find classic clubs this was an inexpensive way for me to experiment with clubs. I bet I have some Tour Wraps that have been on and off at least 10 clubs or more

LOL back in the day I was a PBR man. Now Coors not Coors Light tasted better when we used to bootleg it out Texas before it was sold at retail east of the Mississippi River.

Now Yeungling I like too. I got turned on to it at my old course by the members known as the "Miura Mafia"

Now days I do not drink much beer or anything else alcoholic. I get on a whim and maybe have one beer at the course. I think last beer I drank was a Coors in a short bottle at the course and that was over a month ago
