A shout out to a great movie.:

Saw it again for maybe the 5th time. As good as any movie made in last 25 years, for me.
It ages well and everything about it is done 1st rate. Great cast, score, storyline. Reynolds went out well with this and he hated being a part of it. I love the late 70's vibe, the movie captures the hubris and delusions of that era well. Like Scorcese's best, I'll see it again & again too.

The problem with having some drinks when you'd rather be playing golf is you might do some shopping.

I was going to ... till I was denied my Snow Mountain today and I decided to come home and get drunk instead. So probably won't. I don't dig playing with a hangover. 

 

More rain forecasted tonight so who knows what'll be flooded tomorrow anyway. 

 

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A GODDAMN DESERT.

Brilliant film all around. It’s really something when just every aspect of film making comes together especially on a big film with so many facets and considerations. 
 

That one came together like a masterpiece. Script, casting, sets, cool plots and subplots, historical context. 
 

It’s one of those movies you can just pick so many scenes and watch them individually and enjoy. Kinda like True Romance we were discussing a while back but BN is just a level higher.

As I've said, I was raised from birth to hate UNC. Then I lived in Chapel Hill for ~2 years before moving west.

 

I can say it's probably my favorite place in NC. Dad woulda disowned me if he lived long enough to hear me say that 😂

... I am already on record with my prediction that Drake Maye will be the next great QB in the NFL. Watching him hit WR's in perfect stride is a thing of beauty. He spins it like Herbert, just perfect spirals and such a pretty ball. His poise in the pockets beyond impressive. So far he didn't disappoint in the 1st half.
