Great looking cook, TS! I’ve never cooked them before, but have opted for Texas Twinkies, which are jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and brisket, wrapped in bacon. I usually cook them for our annual BBQ tailgate, but they are a lot more time consuming than they look. Gotta smoke the brisket, core and roast the peppers, mix the brisket and cream cheese, stuff the peppers then wrap them, and finally smoke the end product. But they’re SO good!

I never get a picture of the end result because they get smoked on-site at the tailgate with a bunch of other goodies.

Nice! Anytime u add brisket it’s a W!

Assuming you keep it in your bunker (basement) next to all your prepper stuff!
😂

I have mine in a container in the front bedroom/storage room with all my hurricane and bad weather prep stuff. Mine will run off of AC or batteries. I also have a hand crank 120V dynamo. Also have a hand crank radio too. DTV will go out here at the first sign of a cloud and cable will too. I also have a gas powered generator. Here it pays to stay prepared. In 23 years here we have never evacuated. We figured if it was time to go we can go in our own home. I keep prepped year round to avoid the panic rushes. We rotate out the canned stuff year round.

That is so true--- In one of my few asphalt appearances I was running at Bowman Gray in Winston Salem NC. I did not know crap about asphalt racing and the guy who owned the car (friend of a friend) must not have either. He had put a set of brand new sticker tires on the car. I was thrilled as in new tires wow!!. Little did I know he had bought a set of Talladega tires hard compound not suited for short track racing. I went into the first turn WFO and the car never stuck I hit the wall and went over into a parking lot. Now it was a safe car and I was not hurt per say but sorta punch drunk. This guy came running up half naked with a beer in his hand. Come to find out I landed in close proximity to where he and his girlfriend were fixing to do the back seat boogie in his car. LOL I remember when the crews got there he said "glad you are ok I have important business to attend to that your act interrupted that is if she is in the mood" Everyone within earshot laughed. Found out the next week what happened. I was green as heck and another driver friend of mine showed me about Good Year tire codes on racing tires. About 3 weeks later same place same car a throttle spring broke and I hit the wall hard but was ok but sore. I learned 2 valuable lessons if driving someone else's car check tire compound numbers and on any car even my own check the throttle spring set ups. Actually on my cars I put a little loop at the top of the pedal to manually pull back the throttle pedal if a spring broke.

🤣 you tell the best stories! 🍻

Funny.  I dropped the Deadhead feel in college.  Go to Cancun and all these folks dress like the people I didn’t want.  That’s why I had to close my eyes to “see” it.

I think, and the Kennedy empire was not built in service, the band may have been the most socially conscious US band to date.  Neil would wade in, but no band to date just plowed in with their abandon.  Name be darned, they were smart and funny.  But again, I was an “oppressed” youth who never wanted for anything.  I was everything they hated, and I loved them for their wit.

@miamistomp  I found a good one.

I see that small up charge for ordering Blue Cheese dressing for your salad started long ago. That is just such nonsense.

Oh Kate, I'll have a cup of the Split Pea with Ham soup, and then the Sand Dabs with broiled mushrooms, and a Sanka.

Man, I get it. Ain't the same cuz she's not my kid but kinda has been for almost 5 years now ... miniature Ms. aenemated was just an awkward little pre teen when I first met her and was hanging out watching Gravity Falls (stellar show) with her and was spoiling with my homemade frozen custard made just how she liked it.

Now she's all little grownup rockstar leading orchestras.

Pretty proud of that kiddo.

Gravity Falls was a good show.

The Kennedy empire was built on bootlegging. Which hey, I'm cool with. So was NASCAR. And Steve Earle.

Jello is a personal friend. I've sat and talked with him about it. And man, does he love to talk to you. We in F&D do a couple of takes on DK tunes and Hoss almost always introduces them as "These songs were written by our personal favorite member of the Rat Pack ... California governor candidate and everyone's friend, Jello Biafra!"

The name was an intentional jab at the USA that never happened because of the deaths of JFK and RFK. So kinda the opposite of the take you got, Stu.

About the only cartoon I've really liked as an adult was Aqua Teen. When me and Ms. aenemated got to where she was comfortable introducing me to her kiddo, she was like "Will you come watch this show with us? It's her very favorite."

I was begrudgingly like "Sure. Ok."

MAN I got into it. That show was brilliant. I've actually got a Bill Cipher Funko around here 😂

The meritocracy of the US is a joke.  They knew it, and it is even more true in ‘23 than it was in ‘80, but no one really knew that.  All of the sudden we have the “wings” in political parlance that were so shut down they never knew of anyone else.  It’s a sad state of affairs.
