Not a great look for TM with Rory and Tiger both not using Stealth 2. Wonder what the differences are for them not to put the new ones in.

Bro it’s like brand new still, these guys are extremely busy and they don’t just switch out that easily. They have to test religiously to change in some cases and in tigers case they obviously don’t care to make him switch at all.

Oh absolutely! But most guys aren’t TW with a TGR foundation and 1,000s of eyes and cameras on em. Just surprised he didn’t save it for the locker room.

Seeing Tiger outdrive Rory and JT is so cool to see. It’s awesome he is back…hopefully he will be able to play like this for 4 rounds.

I really don't expect much from Tiger in this tournament.  It's really a barometer for him to see how he navigates a course that has uneven terrain.  I primer for Augusta and get some tournament feels back.  To be competitive would exceed expectations regardless of what he says to the press.

His speed is the one thing that's really surprising to me. It looks like he's swinging at 75% and is still getting almost 180 ball speed and carrying it 300+. Pretty nuts.

The issue likely revolves around the softness of Nike foams and the lack of ankle/leg support as result that won’t let him wear Nike stuff. Nikes for the most part are not designed for custom orthotics, custom ankle wraps or a rigid brace, etc. Usually they’re designed athletically like a trainer, promoting more movement.

 

On the flip side, podiatrists often recommend rigid platform shoes like Icons, Premiere’s and DNAs/Tour X because they are deep enough for orthotics and significantly reduce the amount of twisting your foot can do (like when you walk on soft, uneven grass or hills). This is predominantly a need for those with specific injuries though,

most can do fine without it.
