Paradym triple diamond fairway

I have it and had it set at 16 for the first week or so as I normally play a 4 wood.  NO difference to my eye at address vs standard setting.  The beauty of the opti fit hosel is that it has the least amount of close vs open address as loft and lie changes. I also cut mine down to 42.75 because a 43.25 inch fairway wood is just too long for me.  I also have the Triple diamond 5 wood and honestly it's my favorite club right now.

I see you have the TSR3 4W in your signature -- could you share some thoughts on how the Paradym TD compares to the TSR3?

Compared to T3R3 4 wood, I'd say the Paradym is easier to hit for me.  It just sets up a bit nicer to my eye.  The TSr3 is a pretty club to be sure, but it's face height is a bit higher than the Paradym TD, so the ball flight is not that high for me off the deck as say my old SIM Max2 3HL wood was, by just a bit so for me the Paradym is a bit easier off the deck overall.

Off the T it has the right height of face to inspire confidence without having to T it very high, so you can work it low or High.  I'd say if I were to choose just based on looks I'd pick the Paradym and off performance so far, Paradym also.  And my Tsr4 is the same overall length and both have S flex shafts so it's a pretty close comparison for me at least.

Hope that helps.

Bumping this back up to the top for any additional feedback, not a lot on here currently for this club.

I'm thinking about picking one of these up once I get to try it with the Kaili shaft, I hit it this week against the TSR2 with 1k Black X (which I like in my driver) and numbers were very similar, despite the Callaway having the HZRDS in 5.5 Flex, a profile I don't really like and a flex weak for my swing.

The 3 wood turned up to 4 wood loft is ok, like most 3 woodd for me it is either a wow shot or crap. All my swing and I don't have a lot of of SS so there is that issue.

I keep going back and forth between the GD AD UB and the stock Kai li white, the stock definitely launches higher but is more prone to a wacky pull or slice (again the swing) so if it is a tight course I stay with the UB which is much more predictable, low / mid and straight.

The 5 wood turned up to 7 wood loft is really fantastic, could be the shaft and loft but it is very reliable.

Demoed both the TD 15 and 18 along with the Tsr3 16.5. I found them both to be excellent from a tee or the deck and similar in sound and feel. It came down to looks honestly. I like the more classic crown of the Titleist so that won. I would happily game the TD though.

What kind of distance did you see from the the Paradym TD 15 and the TSR3 16.5 compared to the Ping G410 I see in your signature? And how did launch compare? I know obviously there's a loft difference of a couple degrees, but I also know the Ping is a higher-launching fairway vs. the TSR3 at least on paper being a lower-launching fairway, so just curious.

I had both the TD heads set to 16* and the Titleist to 15.75*. Launch was v similar between the them considering they were with different shafts. I used the Kai’li white in the Callaways vs the Tensei blue in the Titleist. The Callaways were on average a few yards longer but the Titleist had tighter dispersion. Compared to my Ping they both were farther and spun less.

Bumping this thread. Gave the standard paradym 3hl a go but hit it left every now and then so traded it for a triple diamond.

Big, big surprise in just how forgiving and good this 3w is. I lofted up 1 to increase launch and it still sits square and just goes.

Will be putting this one through the paces the next several weeks. If today's results hold true, it's staying put.

Late to the discussion, but the Paradym 3D was one of the best purchases I made in 2023.  I struggled quite a bit with the standard Paradym since the face was so shallow and I needed something that was for the tee.

Deep face of the 3D really helped with that.  Did find myself having to go +1* more of the time but do drop it to N/S when it gets windy.

I have the TD wood. I have it lofted to 16.

at 15 it was great off the tee, little tough to launch off the deck.

at 16 I get the best of both worlds. Long carry off the tee, little more spin helps to, and easier to launch off the deck for sure

Anyone put a Ventus Red or something similar in their Triple D 3 wood? I was thinking the higher launch and spin may be a killer in the lower spin head.

That's exactly what I'm playing now.  Added the Ventus TR Red (same as in driver) and have really enjoyed it.  Felt a little loose in the beginning, but overall has been a good addition.  Definitely a better flight than the stock HZRDUS that game in originally.

I tried that exact setup with this club early last year. TD 3 wood with a Ventus Red TR 7x with those same thoughts in mind. Sadly it didn't work out for me but I think that is more so because the red profile just didn't/doesn't fit my swing well. I play the TR Blue in my driver and have found some success with the TR Blue or a blue profile in the 3 wood in the past and want to try it in the new smoke TD 3wood soon.

The 3d 3w isn't a super low spin 3w. I play ventus black in it and find spin to be right at 3000. At 16 it's in the 3200 range.

If you get along with the ventus red profile then do it. But just putting that shaft in to raise spin won't always do what the book says.

Thanks. My best profile has been with the Graphite Design AD UB 6 in my driver, which is the standard Paradym. I just ordered the Triple D from CPO with the Hazrdus Silver 60 gram. That’s the shaft that came standard with my Driver and it was OK- but I had it in 50 grams, which may have messed with my tempo. I’ll give the Silver a shot in the 3 wood and look to upgrade if it isn’t working out.
