Thanks for posting. That is quite a difference in size. Which one you like better?

The difference is substantial! My personal tastes are towards the LV or my naked Daytona Beach. The 5K 7 is just so ridiculously forgiving it’s going to get more bag time to see if the forgiveness can make me forget its large footprint.

How’s the stock grip on the 5k 7? Switch it out?

Stock grip is fine. Typical Odyssey Winn mid-size pistol. I’ve been using SS Pistol Tour on my LV and Daytona Beach. I think the stock grip is staying put as it fills my hands nicely.

Anybody compare the two? Really liked the tri hot in the store but they don't have the toulon.

The Las Vegas is smaller and more compact. It’s firmer, but these newer Toulon’s are about as soft as it gets (besides maybe Betti FIT) for a milled stainless steel putter; so it’s not drastically firmer than the white hot insert IMO. It’s actually a pleasant transition if you’re used to the white hot insert. Both have the forward weights and CoG methodology

So it ultimately comes down to:

1.) whichever shape you prefer (should inspire confidence in alignment and simply suits your eye at address and during stroke)

2.) preference in feel for one over the other (milled vs insert)

MOI should be the absolute last consideration since things such as alignment, stroke/impact consistency, speed control, etc., are much more important. But obviously the 5k’s have a higher MOI

Man I need the 5k 7s. Also feels more firm the white hot og.

I’ve seen people say this about the firmness of the TriHots. I wonder why that is, because I don’t think the insert is firmer or any different. I wonder if there’s more feedback off the face due to it’s multi-material design (heavy steel front section attached to a light weight aluminum back section). Maybe most of the vibration upon impact is contained in the front section, resulting in more feedback/vibration in the hands? Idk if that theory makes any sense, just brainstorming, I’m certainly no materials/mechanics expert

Man I need a LV. Comparing the 7 and LV, is there a difference in the amount of distance between the white fang lines? I know the 7’s fangs is nearly the exact width as a golf ball.

And are LV’s fang lines parallel, like they are on the 7?

I have a White Hot OG 7CH, Tri Hot DW CH, and an original White Hot #1 from 2000. Would agree that the Tri Hot feels more firm. The original white hot is the softest. OG sits in the middle. Should be noted that they all have different shafts so not a perfect comparison. Graphite shaft in the Tri Hot, KBS CT in the OG, original stepped steel in the #1. My guess is the inserts are slightly different, even if they are all "white hot".

makes sense. Seems like the shaft will change things as well. With the Toulon garage still offered plumbers neck on the Vegas…. Maybe this year.. 🤞🤞

LV is much smaller and crisper off the face. 5K 7 lets you miss big and get away with it much more so than LV.

Do you notice that the double bend on the shaft is more pronounced on the Las Vegas than the odyssey? Your pics made me pulle the trigger on a used one and first thing I noticed is that it seems to have more offset with the double bend being more pronounced. It’s got 0 toe hand so I don’t think it’s bent.

No, I’ve never noticed more offset. All my DB shafted putters set up very similarly.
