Relating to the back order dates: if someone can explain this to me, but how when you have a new product release, not meet the demand? Is it just-in-time inventory? I don’t understand how you don’t make more heads than what you need initially. If you know that every two years you’re going to have a new product release how do you not have a plan to meet demand? I refuse to believe that COVID is an excuse anymore.

Maybe I’m overthinking this or just throwing a grug take out there but I’m genuinely curious of anyone has any insight.

It’s not Covid anymore, but you can only make some many heads at a time. Then ship them over here then QC. Then start building. While all that is going on, they are making more heads, then repeat. So some heads are just back ordered. They definitely have models that show predicted sales and everything, but how can you really say how many heads are going to be needed. What if everyone did a combo set and split at 6/7 into 150. Then people who orders straight 150 could have an issue with heads or vice versa. If it’s just heads I wouldn’t be to worried. When the shafts start to become a problem then it could be a nightmare. Now you are waiting shaft company to get shafts to Titleist, then let’s say the shafts get there, but don’t pass QC. I will say this once a backorder starts it takes time to get caught up

From a supply chain standpoint, if it’s the heads that are on backorder then yes titleist has more control over that.    If it’s shafts then titleist has  less control over when true temper (for example) can provide X100 to shafts.

Anecdotal scrolling through this thread it looks like the heads are hitting titleist stock pretty regularly and the shafts are the hold up.

we just become used to the Amazon prime get it in two days culture.  There’s a cost associated to that.  Right now the market (how many people will choose not to order a club because it may be on backorder) does not justify the cost is my guess?

I only saw people who did their fittings back in early July get those, but those were paid fitting events. I believe it was $100 for the fitting.

Would somebody be with T150’s be so kind to post a quality angled pictures of the 8 iron and PW from address? Very curious to see what the shapes of these two heads look like.

I think someone is dropping the ball on these heads. Multiple reports of people getting orders before other who placed earlier. I got the same run around and ordered first of august so ended up canceling and buying from an in stock retailer online. I’ll reshaft them myself at this rate. Titleist told me it’s “first in, first out” but that obviously isn’t the case. I had another rep who told me they are pushing out “stock” orders first since those are heads at more readily available that something like upright/flat/loft changed. Who knows.

I won't care in a month when I have my clubs, but right now this is reeeeeeeally annoying the way the times vary and people who ordered way after already have their clubs. I knew I shouldn't have gotten excited when the wait time was being quoted as 2 weeks or less.

August 12th order through a custom fitter, asked for an update today and they're waiting on T150 heads. Oh well, reminding myself they're going to look awesome with custom ferrules/grips.

I understand that. I won’t care once I have my sticks but waiting on the shafts to come in sucks. It is what it is.

having had these a few weeks, I'm struggling with them a bit. With the T100's, anyone else notice that the sole plays a little thinner? is it actually? It seems to get stuck a bit more, especially when I get diggy, than before.

The T150 sole glides through the turf nicely. I got the same feeling from the demo T100 I hit through impact.

Got fitted yesterday. Went 4-48 t200 with AMT White s300. 1 degree flat which helped with the miss.

Excited to get them in the course before the season ends here in Boston.

Logical thinking, that is not how WRX does it

Spot on.  No retail store or Titleist will sell you just the heads so you would be better off finding a used set and re-shafting.  Or you would have to go to a custom fitter who would build you the clubs.

  • 60.10V (Bent to 59°)

With True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 and MCC Align Midsized grips.

Well I did a fitting with the Titleist rep today and I got fit into a nice combo set with a shaft that I never thought about. T200 5i, T160 6i, and T100 7 on down in the AMT Blacks. I was originally looking at a graphite option but the Tensei AM2 White just didn't do it for me. Coming from PX LZ 6.0. Loved the feel and turf interaction with the new Titleist offerings; they perform better for my swing than the ZX7s.

turns out, obviously, it was a swing flaw and not the soles.

Part of me likes the T150 look a bit more, as it's a bit more comforting, but I really do not need the extra speed. Living at altitude, my 7i is a comfortable 185-190 club, I really don't need it to be a 200 club. perhaps if I lived at sea level

Got fitted a few days ago into T200 5-6 and T150 7-PW. Ended up going with the Modus 120, which is a huge difference from the Elevate 95 shafts I had on my current gamers (P790). The transition felt so much better with the heavier shaft. Loved the look at address too and the sound.

Unfortunately, fitter said 150s may take 5-6 weeks to come. Hopefully sooner!

Ordered T150’s on Monday Aug 28th and supposedly they’ve already been shipped and should arrive by tomorrow. They’re 1° upright so I’m thinking maybe I got lucky with adjusted lie and that’s why they’re coming so fast?

Not really sure what to believe since everyone else is saying 4+ weeks. Not gonna believe it until they’re in my hands lol

I’m long time player of all iterations of AP2 and both previous iterations of T100. I bought one set of T100 4-P and one set of T150 3-W.

I took the T150 set directly out on the course yesterday on my local evening competition. Skipped my driver and fairway and only used 3i from the tee.

I had 71 strokes which is on par on my home course, best round of the year (and a win in the tournament:-) )

Case closed, ball striking was phenomenal and I won’t even remove the plastic protection on the T100.

I was afraid of the slightly thicker sole since I normally prefer narrow soles, but the turf interaction was nothing short of amazing.

I planned using T100 PW to not mess up my wedges, but I will play T150 3-W and SM9 52, 58. It means I need to ditch my T200 2-iron, but it doesn’t matter, the T150 3 iron is an absolute cannon and so easy to hit and the distance differential was negligible.
