I'm potentially building my own, as a lefty I feel you.

 

I'm either going to find a decently in shape tank 7, oslo H with lead tape or pony up for a new pxg (bc they will customize everything for no upcharge).

 

I'm leaning pxg at this point because Ping putters with insert trend to feel too soft and all the Tanks I've seen are in crap shape. I might document the journey, write a little review, get some data, etc. Engineer, so... This is my forte.

A Tank V-Line would be a good one too.  I always see nice LH version ones on eBay from time to time.  Keep checking, one will pop up.

FYI Spoke to my buddy (remote fitter)... New putters dropping really soon, so current will have a significant price drop...

Any time frame? You can dm me in case it's secret... I'm looking to buy within the next few weeks in case I really don't like it, I don't end up holding the bag in a few months if the "craze" ends.

I preordered this putter and my credit card was charged today. Does that mean my putter is on the way? Anyone else who credit card was charged?

It could be. I doubt it tho. I ordered a 5k today…. Was chatting with the rep who is a buddy…. Said September for all orders now look realistic. He was saying the tour is consuming a ton of heads right now. My buddy did confirm they do have a lot of CB offerings coming out to the public soon. Didn’t say dates but it’s going to be a big trend for the rest of 23 and 24.

Didn’t read the whole thread but if you can’t get ahold of the jailbird, the White Hot OG 7 Bird is a great option with whp insert and interchangeable weights. Would be super easy to have painted also, and likely better paint durability than factory.

Mine was charged day 1 and I don’t think it will be showing up anytime soon.

So did anyone see an initial charge on their card and then it fall off. I've bought things before and have a pending charge show up and stays that way for about a week. It then falls off completely, once the item ships it charges my card. Not saying this is how they will do these but hoping so. I'll let you know, my charge hit today, I'll see if it post are falls off and report back.

You’ve never seen the popularity of (well anything really) drop significantly after several months for any number of reasons? There’s really no chance it could be a flash in the pan and they’re back to where they were pre-US Open?  When was the last time you heard about a Jailbird before then?

He's doing decently with putting; he's currently 30th in sg18 but currently 7th in sg approach and 17th around the green. So his wins are more closely attributed to his iron and wedge play compared to putting.

I’m surprised anyone is that concerned about it.  Anyways it’s been the hottest putter that’s come along in quite sometime.  Nothing that happens going forward changes the past two months.  Looking forward to the putter.

Rickie, Clark and Bradley have won 4 tournaments including the US Open in a matter of weeks.  All that isn’t attributed to Rickie’s iron play.

I’m sure there will be a flood of these in secondary market. The long wait is a great way to ensure the “eBay flipper” doesn’t ruin the mkt for people who actually want to game one.

The point is the golfers who are dominating were putting crappy with their previous putters (Camerons, etc) are now winning with jailbirds.  Props to Callaway

All that being said, I love that callaway is listening to the consumer and making these at a dare I say reasonable price with accessibility.  I saw a post of them selling 5k preorders.  I have to think 4750 of those were golf wrxs.

Don’t worry, several will appear on the BST board in no time! No putter or setup fits everyone. I don’t expect Denny McCarthy to dump his Golo. 
 

I’d say check out the King Tour irons.
