Played yesterday in Tour Heat.RDY shirt in 90* and awful humidity. Real feel in the 100s. Left the range wet and it never dried up the entire round. It was heavy and uncomfortable. It was sticking to my arms while putting. The first round with it was warm and humid but there was a breeze. Yesterday was as bad as it gets but I have other shirts that handled those conditions much better.

The zg's continue to impress me. The comfort and performance remind me of the tour 360's I loved, in a much lighter package.  Hard to beat these shoes, if they hold up long term.

This is pair 22 for me.  I have plenty of Nike, adidas, true, Ecco and so on.   I have loved Boost golf shoes in past but hated cleaning them.  The white 360 with black boost was a must for me. I hadn’t tried the ZG23 (or ZG21) for that matter as I thought they looked cheaper and lower quality than the 360.   I am not sure why that would stop me, typically, as I am all about comfort now in my 40s.

the ZG23 upon first wear, are very comfortable. Way lighter and more cushioned than I thought and I already thought they’d be light (compared to the 360 boost). I have the all white pair (I’m a sucker for white golf shoes) and these look great in my opinion.  Better than ZG21, imo.  The lightstrike stuff I was unsure of.  Have no fears, it’s comfy.   I have a bunch of spiked and spikeless and always prefer to play in wet conditions with spikes. I played after rain yesterday in these and the grip is great in wet.  The waterproof properties worked great.  Now, I want to try it on dry hard ground.  Hope to see those conditions tomorrow and will report back.

I will say, these things clean up way easier than any boost material, if that means anything to you.   Part of the reason why I have 22 shoes in the rotation, is that I clean them up and because I have so many pair I never wear any of them out. I do try and take good care of mine. After one wet, where these things wiped down very nicely. Including the light strike material. Maybe it will yellow overtime but we shall see.

I like the tongue, and the laces. I have to wear an ankle brace on my right ankle as I have a few torn tendons and the Zg23 are easy to unlace and put on.  Some shoes today with the integrated tongue are a PITA to put on.  These are perfect.  It’s not an overly wide shoe or narrow.  If you have a wider foot, you’ll need to look elsewhere or see if adidas offers these in wide.

pics coming. More on shirt and shorts soon.

How would you compare the Zg21 to Zg23? I wasn’t a big fan of how soft the boost was in the older shoe. I don’t mind a little cushion, but for me they lose stability if it’s too soft.

Not sure as I saw the ZG21 and thought they looked cheap and never tried them on.  Cheap compared to the boost 360. Sorry I did now. The much lighter package is my preferred feel.  They don’t look as premium, however as the boost 360.

The Zg23 continue to impress.  I have worn them the last six rounds I have played and they clean up exceptionally well, are super comfortable, lightweight and I don’t really notice my feet or shoes which is what i want.  To not think about them.

they really are adidas next %.

That is how I felt about the Code Chaos. I did not get the same feel with the ZG23, they were much firmer than Code Chaos.

I am surprised to hear that about the Tour Heat shirt. I got the other offered shirt and have had tge complete opposite experience 2x now.

I was as well. First time out was a pleasure. But it was nasty on Sunday, about as bad as it gets, and it wasn't a great experience. Reminded me of those heavy cotton shirts back in the day that didn't breath well.

A wet suit might have been the only thing that would have helped yesterday, it was not an ideal day for golf.

couldn't agree more. i have picky feet and walk most of my rounds . finding a walking shoe that checks most the boxes (no achilles blisters) has been a night mare... zg 23 are delightful to walk in.  wish the colors had more variety but i will buy a few pair cuz these are so good

And just like that the inner liner of heel cushion has started wearing and ripping through.  Had a similar issue with zg21.  It’s been about 2 months would say about 10-12 waking rounds.  Wonder if adidas will replace

I hope the heel cushion holds up. I had issues with the padding myself a long time ago. The TOUR360'S were the shoes that brought me back. No problems yet but I only have about 12 rounds in.

It's been wet and I play early. I need to clean up the soles a few times per round. Really the only minor complaint. Even when I forget, I haven't slipped.

Sizing is true adidas. Whatever you wear in other adidas, these should be the same.

Im still loving mine.  Maybe my fav pair right now. That’s hard for me to believe

Had played the Tour 360 and went to the Code Chaos shoes for a few seasons. Liked them but they wear quickly. Went to the ZG23 after reading these reviews and they are as good as advertised. Took a new pair on a golf trip with no break-in. Wore these shoes and Kentwool socks all week and had no problems at all. These are light and stable. Excellent shoes. Adidas just seem to fit me really well.

I wore some MG4x2 yesterday and I kept wishing I had the ZG23 on. I used to think the MG4x2 were the most comfy shoe I had. But after wearing them for the first time in probably 8 rounds my turf toe started to bother me whereas the ZG23 have enough support I never even notice it.  These are neck and neck with NEXT% as the best shoe out there for me.  And right now I’d give the nod to ZG23 as they clean up better than NExt%. The Nike just have some cooler color ways, imo.

I'll chime in since I've used a lot of adidas apparel in the past several years:

1) shirts... don't love them, wish the material was a little better quality and that the sleeves were shorter.  Also, size small could be a hair more fit overall.

2) '22 tour360 shoes... pros: great cushion, well made, great in wet conditions, comfortable.  cons: too hot to wear once temp is over 80, no breathability, cleats aren't replaceable (huge downgrade from previous models), took 5 painful rounds to wear in (beforehand, the backsole was ripping the skin of my heals apart).  overpriced.

3) ZG21 shoes... pros: lighter than the tour360's, great fit, good water protection, great spikes/traction, very comfortable right out of the box.  cons: little bit ugly design/colorway, too hot to wear once temp is over 85.  Slightly better breathability than the tour360's but not by much.  No heal issues though!  overpriced.

4) Tech response 1 & 2 shoes.... pros: still one of the best shoes for hot conditions, bar none.  very comfy out of the box.  cons: don't last very long, soles could use a little more cushion.   Solid price.

5) ultimate 365 shorts... pros: my favorite pair of shorts.  super comfy, lightweight, excellent material, pockets are right length, back pockets are ideal as well.  cons: none other than price is a tad bit high.

I agree with the post above on the ZG23 price.  They should be $160 imo.  Same as the Next%. I cannot stress enough the comparisons of the two shoes for me.  They are the 2 conpany’s best offerings, imo.

I think adidas website price is inflated or something. Can be had for 140-160 right now. Dicks has them at 159.

Correct. They launched at $199 I believe.  I saw them at GG beginning of summer for $159.   I think that’s where they should start and be on sale from there due to their materials and such but I love them.

I purchased a pair of ZG23s from the Adidas site.  I couldn't find them at Dick's or GG.  I need an 11 wide.  I read a comment on the Adidas site that they don't sell replacement spikes and the replacements used could be felt while walking.  Is this true?

Replacement spikes are available from Adidas - https://www.adidas.com/us/thintech-exp-clamshell-golf-cleats/IA6409.html

As for " Can the replacements be felt while walking?"  I haven't replaced the spikes on my ZG23's, but, I would be surprised if you felt the spikes while walking.

Played in probably 13-15 rounds now in the ZG23. As I have stated they are now some of my favorite shoes which has surprised me.  They are still neck and neck with the Next% (wide) for me. I do love the all white ones that I have.  I think they look modern and classy at the same time.  I am not sure I’d own any other color besides the white/blue ones.  Again, they look cheaper to me than the 360s but I much prefer the feel of a he ZG23.

I walked for the first time in them Friday and they were great. It was wet (and rained all round) and was debating some shoes that were already kinda nasty but decided on the ZG23 and they felt great while walking.

I would have probably never tried these on in store but now glad i did as they are some of my favs.
