Ventus TR hybrid

Wondering if anyone has any thoughts or information if we will ever see a ventus tr hybrid - seems weird since if it was it would already be out by now?

Good question. Maybe @Fujikura Golf will offer a hint. If they do roll out updated HB shafts, I hope there's a TR Red profile in the mix.

I'd imagine that if they decided there's room in the market for more hybrid shafts, that's what they'd target. I know there are some good products from KBS, Nippon, etc., but right now it seems like the aftermarket hybrid shaft world is largely dominated by three shafts: If you want something really low, Ventus Black. If you want mid, Ventus Blue. If you want high, Graphite Design Tour AD DI.

Why? Their current line up does anything anyone could want in a hybrid. The TR (tbh, just like the woods) wont do much and will just be a marketing re-release aka a refresh. They'll do it down the road I'm sure we can all bet on that when they see sales taper off the current lines.

Tour guys seem to use GD DI a lot and the HZRDUS Black 95/105 in addition to a lot of Ventus.

How does the HY compare to the DI in a hybrid shaft? I know on paper it’s supposed to be higher launching, and they gave it a paint refresh recently.

Doubt it.  I have the Ventus Black HB and it's the best low/low hybrid shaft I've ever had/tested.  Extremely stable as well.  I don't really see how adding the spread tow material would do much for hybrid.  Also, it doesn't make much sense from a financial standpoint to come out with three more hybrid shafts.

Kicks more and easier to turnover than the DI hybrid.  Also feels softer overall.

The guys on tour that use hybrid shafts are either in the DI, HZRDUS black, IZ, KBS hybrid proto or Nippon GOST.

It doesn't have Velocore, lol.  I find that Velocore tech is very real as my dispersion with the TR Black and Black HB is crazy good.  I wasn't a fan of the Atmos line but had a Ventus Blue in my 3 metal a couple years ago and it was better dispersion wise compared to the Atmos Blue TS that I tested years ago.

I could see them adding  a Ventus Red Hybrid but don't think there is a need for a TR hybrid at this time, If you are looking for a TR blue style take the blue and tip it more, works great for me in my Utility hybrid.

I do play the TR Blue in the Driver and 3W and will say I play the 8HY Blue and it is absolutely perfect.

I think there is room for a TR Blue hybrid. The difference between the 9/10’s in the blue vs black are pretty extreme. And also surprised there is no red hybrid yet. 
 

don’t think there is any need for a TR Black hybrid though.

Yeah there’s definitely some room but I just can’t imagine it as a huge priority. Would love to see more for sure

The Ventus HB Black 10 TX is the best performing golf shaft I have ever hit so it is hard to imagine Fujikura ever making a better hybrid shaft, the only negative is that it only suits maybe 0.001% of all golfers since it is only offered in 9TX and 10TX and other than a small number of elite amateurs with PGA Tour level speed and power, it is just way too heavy and stiff for most golfers.

I have the blue 9x in a 2 iron and love it, so stable. I was looking for a slightly flatter flight and it delivers that for me. If I was going to get a 3 or 4 utility iron, not sure if the current lineup would win out over some other options. I could imagine a TR Red or  Red type profile being great.

I have the Black HB 9TX in my hybrid.  I've tested a ton of hybrid shafts over the years and nothing even comes close.  It's so stable and linear but at the same time has some feel to it.  I do wanna test the 1K black hybrid though just because I love to tinker.
