New review from Michael Newton golf...P790, 7 irons vs 2021 P790

Higher club speed = more ball speed and low spin = more distance

No noticeable difference in feel or sound

I am truly wanting to get some 790 long irons and some 770 mid/short irons.  How long have the 770s been out?  Are they about ready to be updated?

Every two years. P770 next year.

Thank you, good to know.  Probably wait until the new ones come out (probably with similar technology) to try to make my combo set. 

 

Either way these clubs all look fantastic from TM.  Maybe they'll even release the MG4 with the RM grind (we can wish).

Encouraged to see the fitting cart has a head engraved with "lite" - hopefully that's the equivalent of the old dot head used for overlength builds

Based on that graphic, the new 790 seems to be more efficient and has a higher smash factor.  Also less variation of efficiency.   Looks promising!
