I can see fans letting emotions tell them to stick with Fields if he wins Sunday, but a GM should know better. Fields has 37 starts in the NFL, so there’s plenty of info to make a decision. Here are his stats:

Those are pretty pedestrian numbers and more in line with a backup. The only starting QB with worse performance over the past 3 seasons? Zach Wilson. I’d trade Fields and hope to land something in return - maybe a 2nd round pick and a player or 2. Find another team desperate for a QB.

Everyone is betting the Bills to beat the Dolphins on the road with the defense of Miami nicked up Waddle has been hurt, Tyreek Hill's house burned down, and even though he is still playing he will play on a bad ankle.  That said I still have fear that Josh Allen is not a clutch performer.  They win they clinch the Division and the No.2 seed! If they lose they could miss the playoffs and possibly be the best team in the NFL to not even be in the dance.  

The weather should not be hot under the lights so they have no excuses about playing in South Florida. I like the Bills to finally get that moniker of the choker out of their psyche.  

I like one bet this game and will be rooting for the Bills to win. The bet I like is not the -3 I feel like the push comes into play here and the odds of a push or a loss increase.

The bet I like is Under 50

I do not think the Bills are going to want to play chuck it around with so much at stake.  I can see a lot of passes to the tight end and more runs than usual.  

Same for Miami. Buffalos' defense will make them move the ball downfield and not give up too much over the top even with Tyreek.

 

This game is not a game I relish making a pick on but that line sticks out to me.  

Both teams have underperformed and both coaches are not all that good.  Both teams have QB's that do not perform well as favorites

In this game, I think Atlanta will finally start featuring their number 1 draft pick more often than not. 

Give me the 4 points Atlanta +4

 

I could use my free square and say give me the Under in the bad weather of New England but that's not what they do here in Virginia. We do not take the path of least resistance.  I relish the challenges of picking games that are more or less games that others will not venture into taking.  I will not be picking the Under in New England as my Power Play!

Houston and Indy both have a shot at the playoffs, so both teams should be giving their best effort.  I will take the Texans +1. 
 

Does BB need to win to keep his employment with the Patriots, maybe he does, maybe he doesn’t, but beating the Jets is always atop his list.  Give me the Patriots -2

 

Since the playoffs, $3.5 Million in incentives and possibly a job for the next few years, Baker will ball out and add another L to the Panthers tally.  Give me Tampa -5 1/2 and PP this baby!

... I have to think if anyone watch every play of every Bearz game they would feel radically different than watching highlights or even the games against bad teams when he played well. I honestly don't know a single Bears fan that wants to keep Fields. Not one. I keep reading about how much Chicago loves Fields and have to wonder where that's coming from. We know Fields can be very exciting to watch but isn't a Franchise QB and never will be, so not taking a chance on a potential Franchise QB in Williams/Maye is exactly why the Bears started 53 QBs since the 85 Super Bowl. One game should not make any difference, especially if the Bears win with Fields at QB, running like an 11 on a scale of 1-10 but passing like a 5 and we will be right back to Denny Green "He was who we thought he was". 

... All That said, if Da Bearz beat the Packers at Lambeau and Fields has any good runs or passes the typical Grabowski, Dikkah loving Bearz fan will march on Halas Hall with pitchforks and torches if they trade him. I still think Fields is just a different Trubisky that runs faster:

The NFL Playoffs Contest 2023-2024 

 

Please make sure you understand the format and the point system. Please also bookmark this post so you have it handy all Playoffs long to refer to when you have to submit your total points for the week. 

 

How it works.

 

Each player gets two Double It Please (DIP) plays to start. DIP's are totally optional. They can be used only during the first two weeks of the Playoffs. That is the Wild Card Weekend and the Divisional round weekend. You can use your DIP plays once each week during the first two weeks. Again this play is optional. 

 

Week 1 - Wildcard Weekend 

Pick either a side or an O/U in all the games. A DIP Play is allowed. 

Each winning pick is worth 20 points.

A loss is 0 points. 

A Push is worth 5 points. 

If you DIP'd a play and it hits you win 40 points. If you lose your DIP play it is -20 points, and again if you Push it is worth 5 points 

 

Week 2 - Divisional Round 

Pick a side AND an O/U in all the games. A DIP Play is allowed.

Each winning pick is worth 15 points. A loss is 0 points. A push is 5.

If you hit a DIP it is 30 points won. If you lose it's -15 points. A push is 5. 

 

* The Double It Play (always optional) at this point in the contest is now over. There is no DIP play involved during the final two weeks. 

 

Week 3 - Conference Championship Games

Pick a side AND an O/U in both games. 

A winning Pick is worth 10 points 

0 for a losing Pick.

A Push is worth 5 Points 

 

Week 4 - Super Bowl

Pick both the side and an O/U in the game. 

Each winning Pick is worth 25 points.

0 points for a losing Pick, and 5 for a Push. 

Submit a Total Points Scored in the game in the case we need a tiebreaker.
