Purchased a putter on GolfWRX and seller did not ship and will not respond to messages

Thank you to Dabomb and Thank you to the GolfWRX moderators.  Dabomb has replied and has shown proof of shipping.  

 

 

 

GolfWRX member Dabomb posted an ad last week for a Newport 2 putter for sale.  I pm'd him and he messaged back with PayPal address.  I paid within a few minutes and messaged that I paid.  He responded "Cool" and then left the conversation, never to return.  Despite several attempts to message him, he is not responding.  I messaged him through PayPal also with no response.

 

Checking the status on PayPal he has not set up any shipping.  

 

Here's an image of the ad he posted last week that I responded to:

 

I paid him $200 for the "well gamed Scotty Cameron Newport 2".

 

Anyone else experience this kind of issue?  How did you resolve it?  Any suggestions?

Shame on @Dabomb. Either way he should have responded certainly by now and shipped the putter. He's here lurking and choosing not to respond probably because he just hasn't shipped it yet. The listing was posted Friday so you it wasn't last week if you purchased it this past weekend. Hopefully he comes on here and clears it up and sends you what's rightfully yours.

@Dabomb leaving the PM conversation is a pretty ominous sign.

Fortunately, Dabomb did respond today with proof of shipping.  I may have been too quick to cry wolf but when I sent four messages on GolfWRX and two messages on PayPal and had no response combined with the other party leaving the conversation in GolfWRX and no shipping information on PayPal, I was frustrated.

 

I did send the $ through PayPal with the Goods and Services insurance and filed a claim with PayPal.  I will notify PayPal that the seller has provided proof of shipping.

 

Thank you again to all members of GolfWRX.  Your suggestions and responses helped a lot during a frustrating time.

I might agree that you were a little quick but for the part I bolded, that's a huge red flag. I wouldn't drop anything with PP until you actually receive the putter and are happy with it.

While it may be an innocent mistake... I would not resolve my PP claim at this point until the goods are in hand, else should you not receive it, you may not be able to open a claim again... not sure how that works to be honest.

When did it ship and does it show the package is actually in transit? I wouldn't cancel the dispute until you have the item in hand.

Here's the thread , I shipped on Monday, the putter was bought on Friday. 

Things happen I've been pretty busy with family and work, it was a mistake on my part..

but the best thing is all the responses, you guys are definitely original...

check my feedback it's been awesome, yes I had a little hick up , but all will be fine..

I would say your best form of action is not to wait 5 days to respond to your buyer being you have been paid. Being active in the classifieds and not responding after 4/5 days is pretty sad.

30 seconds to send the buyer the tracking info picture you posted as you were walking out of post office instead of leaving the direct message… could have saved you 6 messages in 15 minutes after being called out for ghosting the buyer. 
 

kudos for fast shipping but hope you can see how the buyer and everyone else in this thread reacted after 5 days of no communication, no tracking update via PayPal and leaving the direct message.
