Jin Young Ko withdrew, she's been dealing with a left knee injury since before the tournament started.

Jin Young has a coureageous 2023 after an injury plagued 2022; she won two tournaments against all odds.  However, she hasn't been the same as that dominant No. 1 player throughout 2019-2021 period.

Jin Young at 28 is still relatively young, hopefully she'll take time to sort through her health issues and come back when she's ready.

The leaders are barely into their rounds and Carlota is sitting in the clubhouse after shooting a 9 under round. Gemma at 7 under for the day with a hole to play. Expect more fireworks.

usually you would need a VPN set to UK, to watch Sky Sports Golf's livestream coverage of the LPGA... but seems like there's no geo-fencing for their livestream coverage for this event. (or it's showing up for non-USA folks?)

The course is too easy and there is no drama here. I clicked on the top 5 leaders and after 12 holes no one had a bogey or worst.

lol….dont watch the men’s event this week then.  You’ll be very disappointed. Hughes shot 60 today and made up just one stroke on the leaders.🤣

May have been mentioned? But I just read that Thitikul has a chance to set a new LPGA record this week/year.  She is leading the Vare trophy, for leading scorer on tour this year, by just a bit over Hyo Joo Kim.  Essentially if she beats Kim but does NOT win this event she will be the first Vare winner without a win that season.
A bit over 60% top ten finishes without a win is remarkable consistency.

Based on the scores so far, Thikikul can lose to HJK by a shot for the week and still win the Vare.  Hence, HJK will need to shoot 6 shots better than Thitikul tomorrow.

I would say that we don't know what she could have done if she wasn't injured (trajectory may have been the same), but that may get laughed at.  I feel like her playing hurt before could have compounded the injuries, but this can't be proven or unproven.

She still has an outside chance of making the HoF (if healthy), but probably needs one monster year.  I wouldn't bet on her winning 2x+ for three more seasons.

It may look like a two women race between Nasa and Amy; but neither has been a good closer for tournaments played in continental USA.  My guess is neither Nasa nor Amy will shoot better than -4 tomorrow and the winning score will be between -24 to -26.

It rules out the four playes at -14; but the top six players can still fight for it.

Low scores on all tours today. Matt Wallace on the DP Tour shoots a 3rd round 60 and leads by 1. Birdied his final 9 holes to close out his round.

The new American "next Tiger" Rose?

Maybe if she can add 20 more yards to her drives, which appear a bit shorter than LPGA average. Just get the 2024 model driver and do some overspeed training, and it will be a piece of cake, LoL While she's at it improve her sand saves and putting. She seems like a solid player, strong on GIR, but she hasn't struck me as particularly exciting to watch.

She's finding beating up on the pro's somewhat harder than the kids at school and amatuer ranks! 😂

Yes, it's been three rounds of preferred lies. Two I could see, but three days after the rains there're still at it on a Florida course? Quite silly. Terry mentioned that they may play it as it lies tomorrow, but I have my doubts.

Anyway, I agree with @18majorsthat Amy and Nasa aren't great finishers, and there were plenty of 68s and 69s today. I can't see their putters staying hot for three straight days, so it does open the door to a few players, but they'll need a 62 or 63.

Would be cool to see Alison or Janet grab their first win, but they'll need to sink some putts.

Minjee and Ruoning both cooled off today, but are both still capable of going low tomorrow.

Should be a great final round, and I'm almost certain the tournament scoring record of -23 is going to crumble.

They need to pick a more difficult course or something. The scoring is ridiculous. Shouldn't it be kinda hard when you're playing for that much money?

The highest winning score in the previous 9 years was -10 in 2014. Since then it's been a birdiefest with -15 or better. With no rough, pure greens, and little trouble for the pros they eat it up. The preferred lies aren't helping.

Don't see them moving this, as it's been a staple for a decade now. With the increase in the purse it's a pretty good bet it's going to here for a while.

I'm scheduled to score for Jasmine, Grace Kim and Hull tomorrow. Had Delacour and Chanettee on Friday. During my round on Thursday with Anna, had a chat with a lady that houses her in Naples. She told me what a bad year it's been for Anna and I mentioned that I knew she was getting divorced. She said that Kevin died a few weeks back. The reason Anna withdrew after one round in Korea is because she had to fly back to Arizona to handle arrangements. Since they weren't divorced yet, she was considered next of kin. Terry Gannon then discussed it to some extent on the broadcast. Very sad for her.

I'm sincerely hoping they don't play the lift, clean & cheat tomorrow. I like the Mollie makeover. Now Fred Couples..... @kmbean based on your uncomment above, my lips are sealed.

Guess I'm just crazy wanting to see the best players challenged lol. A course this easy AND preferred lies is a joke.

Agreed, the birdiefest has it's place out there, but for the tour championship I wanna see a 68/69 low round of the day. Treat it like a major.
