Putter toe hang is pointing up?

What would cause a double bend face balanced putter to have its toe hang be angled up.  I’ve never seen this before until today.  I’m a lefty.

What putter is it? Any more pics? New or used? Has the loft or lie been altered at all? What grip? Have adjustable weights been changed? 
 

More than likely the shaft is installed poorly but could be any of the above issues as well.

It’s a brand new sub 70 005 putter that arrived today with the offset steel graphite shaft with a SS Tour 2.0 grip and 15g weights installed.   Loft and lie have not been changed.  I just took it out of the box and checked its balance.  My gut tells me the shaft wasn’t installed correctly because there is no offset.  I believe the bend should be in front of the face.  It’s a beautiful looking putter though.

That shaft was installed horribly, send it back. Or if you have the means do it yourself.

Yeah, the shaft is very far to the left. It was installed poorly. I would send it back aswell.

They’ll take care of it.  Send you out a new putter asap and issue a call tag for the return.

 

In the meantime - try it, you might like it!

That is what I was going to say.  Looks like a RH double bend put on a LH putter.

I looked at it again and I think you guys are right.  If the head was flipped for a right hander, the bend would have the offset like the picture on their website.

@Cliffy2020 I hope they’re willing to send me out a new one instead of repairing this one, otherwise I most likely will not get it before the holidays.

Call them Monday - They’ll send you a new one.  If they dare suggest a repair, kindly remind them you paid for a new putter, not a repaired one 👍🏼

I have the same putter and it is also toe up.  I believe it was face balanced before I added lead powder down the shaft though.

I have a right handed double-bend 005 as well.  I had to "foot bend" mine a little bit as well to make it face balanced, but still at the stock 72* lie.  I'd like to bend it down to 70*, but I know that will move it back to a "heel hang".

Are you right eye dominant? I’m right handed but left eye and actually want to try something with negative off set.

Mizuno put out a mallet where some folks got a toe-up version (and the reviewers didnt seem to pick up on it), I don't think we ever solved that one, but it sure looked funky.

Update:  I returned the putter today.  Unfortunately, they sold out on LH heads so I couldn’t get a new putter.  
 

I tried it out and was pulling a lot of putts.  I had to play it a little further back.  The other issue was just looking down on it.  I could have gamed it, but long term, I would be asking builders to put RH shafts on putters and they probably would say WTF?  🤣

They were sold out of LH heads or LH shafts?  They should be able to take your LH head, pull the shaft, and put the proper one in.

The heads were sold out.  I requested that they build a new putter instead of repairing the one I sent back.

Gotcha.  I had a 001 putter last year that I wanted a different shaft and Sub 70 was able to pull it and swap it a day later.
