Cold hands - Mitts vs QB hand warmer vs Zippo hand warmer vs rechargeable

I play a lot in the shoulder seasons and would like to keep my hands warm. I'm not talking super cold, but high 30s is where I draw the line.

I bought a pair of Ocoopa rechargeable hand warmers from Amazon (based on recommendations on various golf forums) and am finding them to be a mixed bag.

- They get hot, but the heat throttles down quick once you hold onto them

- It's another battery to charge (on top of GPS, phone, cart, cart remote, etc.)

- The battery won't last forever

- On high, they only last 2h or so

- I have a remote cart, so one hand needs to be holding the remote (and thus, cold)

- They only heat what they're touching, so the backside of your hand stays cold

- Can't stand things in my pockets

So I'm looking for alternatives. My first thought was one of those QB style hand warmers. But I'm worried about it annoying me during the swing. I've also just learned about Zippo hand warmers which use lighter fluid (vs a battery) but don't know how practical they'd be on a golf course. What I'm left with are mitts. How are these with a cart remote?

Any other things I should consider?

I have an Ocoopa warmer but don't find myself using it much. I find the heat doesn't "radiate" well at all (you have to be gripping it to get the warmth), on the high setting it is indeed dead in 2 hours, and it does take forever to charge.

If I'm walking with a manual pushcart, I use the clicgear cart mitts. They are good for holding/pushing the handlebar but I'd imagine too bulky to use an electric pushcart remote.

I put the old school Hothands Super Warmers in my pockets and in the cart mitts. They bend to fit the shape of my pockets or whatever is in there, radiate decently, and last for 36 holes and then some.

I used to work in professional golf so I have basically every cold weather accessory you can think of. For me the the hand warmer pouch is great. I just twist it around to my back when I’m about to hit. The only annoying part is when I’m driving a cart, then obviously one hand is free. Cart mitts also are great, especially because you can put hand warmers in them and they last all round.

I play quite a bit in the cold - usually 30-40 degrees. I've used the rechargeable hand warmers and find they work pretty well for me on the lowest setting so that it lasts the entire round. But that doesn't really work for you since you said you don't like things in your pocket.

Sometimes I'll go with winter gloves on both hands. I like the FJ Stasof winter or the mizuno thermagrip. Just recently got the GTech handwarmer pouch but haven't tried it yet.

Also, I noticed that if my core is warm, my hands aren't really that cold unless its windy.

Ski/Snowboard/Sledding, gloves made from leather and goretex.
I play early spring and late fall in 5-10*C weather, it's also wet/damp at times and I simply use an old pair of quality goretex snowboard mitts. They are easy take on/off.

I bought rechargeable hand warmers that I put into winter gloves, I set them to their lowest setting and they last several rounds. From green to tee I put them on, or if I need to wait in between shots I put them on. The gloves hold the warmers but for me they are just insulated “pockets”. Might work for you.

Recently I got a heated vest that also heats the pockets on it pretty well. Using cart mitts and then putting my hands in the heated pockets when the mitts are off is the new plan.
