Ventus 2024 vs original blue.

I am sure they have been hit by some guys on here so what have you found the differences and similarities between the two to be?

as a 17 handicap, I found no difference between the original blue 5S and the new one (I'm happy with either one). Some friends are saying the original one has better dispersion.

I have hit both the 2024 6S and the original 6S in my Ping driver. I did not see any noticeable difference between the two shafts in my launch monitor data. I have not hit the 2024 version outside and probably won’t bother.

I’ve read/seen on videos with Fujikura that all things being equal the shafts should perform the same except a few mph more ball speed. That’s probably if a robot is hitting it though..how you react to the new shaft/slightly different feel is player dependent. I have a Velo+ Blue in 3W and it feels a little tighter to me so I feel like I can go after it a little more, but I don’t have an OG to compare it to anymore. Also saw someone post this video in the main thread that does a video w/ gears to show shaft deflection differences/similarities and LM #’s..posting it here as well. There’s also a video on Loggerhead Golf’s YT channel where one of their guys hits the Velo+ and said based on his testing he had to tip the OG Blue to get the stability in the handle where he needed it and with the Velo+ since it felt tighter to him he’d tip it less/not at all.

I saw Russ Ryden refer to the new version as a “paint job” on his site, although he never seems to be much of a Fuji fan.

AFAIK the ball speed increase applies to 75-80% of golfers that Fuji has tested. I wonder how the test was done, whether it was blinded etc (I can imagine that there is a placebo effect if people are told or know something is the latest and greatest).

 

It’s a moot point for me since I got the 5X which is a new SKU.

I would say 2-3mph Ball Speed

5-10 yards longer with the driver

Zero adjustments on swing it is a refresh of the profile with some different materials

It is interesting we are not seeing a bunch of glowing reviews from the usual suspects on YouTube.  TXG basically shrugged it of as a bit more stable but didn’t spend much time talking about it and they have had plenty of opportunities to expand on it further if they wanted to.

To TR or NOT to TR, that is the question. 

 

Far too many people don't review the technical stat differences that Fujikura provides online = a crap shoot.

 

6S compared, weight, tip and butt and torque

 

65.5, 95, 86 with 3.3t

65, 93, 85 with 3.1t

68, 94, 82 with 3.1t

 

I do NOT believe for most users will be able to tell the difference between the two shafts, but TR will get your attention.

So far, and I’ll do more tomorrow, but the main difference is when I go after the 24 Blue to hard it’s a borderline snap hook, I don’t have that issue with the Blue TR (both 6X).  I’ll post some real numbers tomorrow.

Thought this might be the case.  Its one of the things I love about TR Blue 6x.  When my mechanics get dodgy the ball is still in play.  Im very happy with the TR Blue but am also a fuji fanboy so love trying out their stuff.

some numbers from testing.  Man they are close and zero pull hooks with the 24 Blue.  I may try turning the Qi10 up to get launch up a little and see what happens today.

And today the TR was slightly faster and lower spin..🤪.

I’ve hit the og blue and 24 blue side by side in my 430 lst at the range a few times.  Find the 24 easier to time and square up.  Little less kick imo.
