Man, Bojangles fried chicken is delicious. And we're getting them in Vegas soon!

Yup! Blocking the iconic lighthouse is about as popular as the first LPGA major being moved to a meh course in Houston. The common thread as u pointed out… 💰

The “💰” is the answer to most head scratchers.

How dare you talk about Cartel Woods, I mean Carlton Woods like that.

Hate to hear that. I have had to give up fried chicken along with pretty much anything fried for health reasons; lunch from Bojangles is one of the things I miss most.

Pancreatitis?  Painful condition, my sympathies.

No, mini strokes early in 2023. Been on a modified Mediterranean diet since. Big change for someone like me who is from the South: no fried chicken (or fried anything) no BBQ. Silver lining I’ve found is it’s easier to lose weight when you simply can’t eat the things you really like. But I’m grateful to still be here and doing most of the things I’ve always done though not as well as I used to. I could easily have been in a wheelchair or drooling in a corner or worse. But my golf game sure sucks!

Not what it used to be. Watered down so much it’s barely spicy. Actually using the word spicy is far from correct. Basically fried chicken at this point.

Probably blasphemy to some but don't sleep on KKC.  Used to be a staple in mapco stations and other hole in the wall country gas stations that might be the only place around for 15-20 miles.

The mapcos around here are being replaced by CircleK and along with it went all my mapco reward points and KKC.

Gas station cuisine is some of the most under appreciated food on the planet. The best breakfast biscuits I've ever had came from places my wife refused to set foot inside...

Jim made some great fried chicken.

Backgound: He was a 12HC, never played the tips, divorced 2X while launching his business, once served his chicken to Bill Shatner, and is credited with inventing the "farm-to-table" concept.

Back in the late 80s, his business partner, David "Dutch" Franklin, was (of course) a former pilot of the Scorpion Attack Helicopter.  This made him a fearless negotiator in the chicken business.  He once called Colonel Sanders a fancy pants.

Inns and roadhouses were quite the thing around here at one time.  They morphed into filling stations.  Not uncommon at all to have a meat and three type of service at a gas station here.

While out on one of our tours last year, we stopped for gas somewhere outside of Baton Rouge on the way to NOLA. Middle of nowhere really. I was kinda hungry and directly next door was this little kinda run down looking market. I was like "Imma go see if they have any food in there."

Walk in and it's this like total smorgasbord of cajun cooking. Got like 5 meals worth of gumbo, jambalaya, fried catfish, etc for like $25. Best alligator sausage ever.

Sure wish I could remember exactly where it is.

My son lives in Nashville & his apartment is in the building that houses the original Biscuit Love. Never been inside because every time we visit him there is a long line out the door & down the sidewalk, even when it's pouring rain. I love a biscuit as much as anybody, but it's a biscuit! I guess it's the trendiness & tourists that create the crowds, but I'd never stand in that kind of line for a biscuit.

Doesn't matter.  I bet there are 10-20 places in south Louisiana that have the best boudin in the world.

Sounds like Pink's in Hollywood. Famously long line.

Me? There's nothing I hate more than standing in line. Totally refuse to do it. So had never actually eaten anything from there.

One night not long after moving to LA, me and the former Mrs. ae had been out and were driving back home and happened to be passing by it near closing time and there was no line. Wasn't even hungry but was like "Let's stop and see what this is all about."

After that experience, not only would I not stand in line for it ... I wouldn't even stop when it was empty. Terrible!

Skooby's was the jam for chili dogs in Hollywood. Carney's is a close second. Pink's is garbage. Yeah, I said it.

OK what does this have to do with what I wrote lol. Obviously he will be fine; it was said tongue in cheek obviously.

I'm not sure I intended to quote your post so I'm not sure.  Sorry.

I'm hoping he's all there for the PGA.  It would be nice to see a dominant player emerge and stay at the top.  He made it look so easy.
