No professional athlete has answered the call as many times as Tiger...it's almost to the point that it's just stupid. You just have to laugh. It's almost like he missed the putt on 17 on purpose just to ratchet up the intensity.

AGREED, everyone should be expecting him to drain clutch putts, we should be use to it by now.

There's realy nothing to add. But I was watching with a friend before the 18th hole. He said that we are definately watching a 31 year old shatter every golf record and sterotype ever. We said when a ABSOLUTELY has to have a putt, he's got it. Don't worry. And he drained that putt. Never a doubt. Simply amazing.

 

And I didn't think he was going to do it today. Bryant was playing so well. Glad I was wrong. Well, onto the next Match Play event.... anyone want to call Win #7?

Tiger must have been in SK last year during my home courses Men's Open, he ripped off my hat spike, although mine was off the 12th tee after losing it left for the umteenth time. LOL.

 

One of these days he is going to run out of reactions, and is going to have to start resorting to punching Steve in the lips to get people talking. hahaha

 

But in all seriousness I thought it was fitting he spiked his hat ala Mr. Palmer, when he spun his hat into the air.

I wonder though, I mean with all the money Tiger has do you think the $500,000 or so thousand that is on the line from first to second is really anything he thinks about? I mean ya it's still allot of money, even to Tiger, but you wonder if the money ever crosses his mind, I think it would be more presure if Tiger was playing for the proceeds going to a needy family or something, I bet he would feel more presure than if it was for himself, money wise anyway, we all know he is a machine bent on winning at everything he does. Just a thought anyhow, I know I would sure love to take one of Tigers purses home, I bet it would change my life a hell of allot more than it would change his :) , but no one can ever say he hasn't earned ever dime he has.

After watching him sinking that last (much longer and faster) putt in Dubai, where he also won because of his clutch putting, I almost gave him this last one :) .

 

This isn't unbelievable anymore - it is to be expected. That's why no one can step up anymore. They are mentally blocked.

His work ethic is incredible I heard on the golf channel that he was up at 5am this morning running then he worked out then he went to his home course and hit balls before ever going to Bay Hill.

 

Unbelievable how hard he works.

 

 

I feel fortunate to have seen three exceptional in a class of their own athletes in my life time. Tiger Woods Michael Jordan and Muhammed Ali

 

The problem is Ali and Jordan are done Tiger is just warming up.

This is the year, all 4 Major's just wait and see!! I wouldn't put it past him to see him win every Tourney he plays in 2008, he is just that on it. I'm one to blow smoke up Tigers Word not allowed but this is something that we may never see again he is an amazing athlete and one of the best to have played and on his way to being the best to ever strike the ball. Who knows maybe he will get bored later in his career and pull a Jordan, and go play baseball for the White Sox's farm team hahahahaha.

I read all the "Go Sean Hair" threads here and I was rooting for Tiger all the way. Why? We're witnessing something incredibly special. Something so rare and something that only comes along once every few generations. I want Tiger to win.

there will always be someone in the spot light. For this reason people will watch in awww. I am sure that Tiger's thrown will be taken by someone else in the future. But for now he is King and is playing better than the rest of the world.

There's no way that money ever crosses his mind. Maybe when he was young and all the money was new to him. I remember him saying that his dad told him to live off what he earned on the course and leave the endorsement money alone. He's to the point now that he plays for wins without the worry or thought of money like some guys have to do.

WOW. We are so blessed to see this man in action - that was just an amazing display. Hitting that green when the gusts was picking up - then holing a downhill putt on the last possible revolution of roll that ball had...just a beautiful scene.

 

"Tiger is 0 for 21 on putts over 20 feet this week..." Johnny Miller. That was a perfect stat input by Miller at the perfect time, really built up the thoughts of 'impossible' or 'playoff'.
